I've seen this series on cable, History Channel. It's pretty intense. Well made documentary.

It's pretty dramatic as it depicts the noose closing in Germany from the West after the invason of Normandy and then the Soviet onslaught after slogging it out in Stanlingrad. I think the Soviets had more artillery pieces than there were Germans. Sweat Not literally, just the perception one gets from those brutal Soviet artillery barrages.
