sasse ----> hahaha. hey no worries! i have a friend who's like half philippino half-german. haha. yeah i know it's difficult, the language. but then again like learning any language isn't easy. i'm learning jap, but i'm struggling. besides, it makes you special, and the fact you speak english is great! I just re-watched ep. 4 with the SARS fansubs. It's my first time watching the SARS subs for this series (they did a really good job on Gokusen!), and hearing how these subs varied from the soft ones I decided to give them a shot.

I totally knew that one reason Makino didn't want to grab Domyoji's hand when she fell off the top of the elevator was because he didn't wash his hand after attempting to pee! they kinda didn't translate how she freaks and calls him gross in the soft subs, but you could kind of tell by her reaction and character that she would be concerned about that.
I really really LOVE these subs, but I still love the soft subs from d-addicts... I guess I'll just have to have a couple versions of the series on my comp for a while.
And I'd lke to add that Akira is one of my favorite characters from the manga and is getting to be one of my fav chracters in the drama. I really wish that they'd show his family and WHY he has a preference for older women, but I doubt they have time for that, which is a shame.
I loved how Okami-san (which is much shorter than the "Dango Shop Boss Lady" I had previously dubbed her) recruited him to take over Makino's job.

the double date made up for it. and the baka scenes where doumyouji messed up a whole bunch of words were so funny. jun really is the cutest when he's smiling and he smiles a lot in this episode! oh and probably my favorite part was when he gave makino that ugly lizard thing. hahah, what DOES that boy think is cute? and the ring tone for makino's cell phone is final fantasy 7!!!! omg i was so pleasantly surprised when i heard it for the first time. haha. and i just love how doumyouji was just laying on his bed all mad and stuff and then his face just changed when makino called. hehe. but i really hate his mom!!! it's like her right eyebrow is permanently raised!! botox gone wrong maybe? at first i thought it was just from the angle but every time i see her, her eyebrow is always raised. oh and i find makino's family so annoying, the only thing that sorta made up for it was when the mom poured salt? on doumyouji's mom. but then after that, they had to ruin it by being annoying again.
ooh i really can't wait for next week's episode! _________________

ah sou? they sound awfully similar though, you know the final fantasy song they play at the end of each battle. but now that i think about it, it IS the darth vader theme. maybe i was influenced becasue i was watching the final fantasy movie hazukashii..... _________________

makino was angry coz dom beat up her friend's awful bf at the zoo. coz dom sort of agreed not to get violent on the date, but ended up beating the guy. and dom didn't bother to explain his actions, just say that he just felt like hitting that ass..., so makino got mad and hit him, also repeated his words, coz she just felt like hitting him! lol
i got this explanation from a chinese fan who understands japanese. ^^

The guy was talking with him about the two girls...as far as I understood he said that both of them are annoying and Tsukasa,, of course got mad at him...Stupid Tsukasa didn't open his mouth to explain... he's so stupid...why can't he just express his feeling for her arg, I wanted to slap him!! No wonder makino runs after Rui then and when he hugs her, she hugs him back.... but she is also very stupid...she doesn't see that Rui is using her to forget Shizuka...he tells her, that he likes her...but I don't believe him....he just tells himself that he likes Makino..to forget Shizuka I really want to see, that Domyouji is fighting for Makino!!!!!

Tsubaki told tsukushi, that Tsukasa really likes her and thenshe gives the idea of a doubledate for the both girls so I think, that Makino can realise herself how much Tsukasa likes her. And Makino tells Tsukasa in the end, that his mother was there and that she wanted Tsukushi not to see her son again. The last sentence she says is I think...so maybe it's better not to see you again.
That's my poor translation, I'm not sure if it's 100% correct but i tried my best.

Why didn't he tell her, why he was beating that guy...why can't he tell her that he's alsways so happy when he sees her or is with her... is it that difficult...or does he think when he behave like an ass the she will love him back?? That few scenes where he was really cute seem to be like if he couldn't cotrole his feelings...the other time he always plays the cool tsukasa.... Do something, Boy!!!!! because rui had the cell phone he gave her and when he asked her where it was at the zoo she said it was at home, and he also asked her if she was alone the night he called and she said she was alone. why would you lie tsukushi? why? but why would you ask someone if they were alone or not when they were on the phone, unless he heard someone in the background?
