My older sister influenced me to read this thing, and i thought "this is cool, huh". I really liked the original work. I think that this dorama will be a change in popularity from the Taiwanese version. In this production my staff and costars will make Hana Yori Dango different. This will mean we're together as a group for a long time. Right now doing the scenes isn't easy. This is going to be a new school drama for me I think.
I hope you read this fy-chan (thnx for the translation yamete_evie-chan!!!), SEE I TOLD YOU, JUN READ THE MANGA BEFORE AND THE JDORAMA WILL BE DIFFERENT FOR THE TAIWANESE ONE!!!...*g* I think that JE would never let their little stars sign a contract if they wouldn't think that they'll succeed (wow, sorry don't know how to write this correctly, but I guess you know what I mean..*big grin*)
btw, pikanchi_double, nice nick, I LOVE this song!

I didn't saw MG and I don't want to XDD...
But MG was based on the manga....
And for what I read ... the manga is much much better than MG.... Which I believe.. because I saw the taiwanese drama based on marmelade boy ..and... well.. the manga/anime is much better..... XDDDDD
i love the manga & anime too!
will be greatly looking forward it~
tInoltin: the taiwanese MG was based on the manga, not the other way round
then riding on the popularity, they wrote the extension plot on their own and filmed MG2, which completely sucks (my own opinion)
it doesn not help with the fact that the taiwanese F4 have goddamned acting skills
i have absolute trust in the japanese production team to do better! =)

I think the japanese MG will be much, much better, cause they have really talented young actors. I haven't watched the chinese MG completely, but my girlfriends did, and they were totally swooning over those sucky actors. Yeah, I admit they look cool, but the story was lame. I heard they caused a F4-craze in a lot of east-asian places where MG was broadcasted. And aren't they showing MG in Japan now? I heard they are becoming famous there, and a chinese wave is coming there, with artists like Jay Chou.
Anyway, I hope MatsuJun Oguri Shun and other cute J-boys will get the succes they deserve.

I've never heard of this manga/anime before, but it kinda looks cool. Still, I hope I can watch the drama once it's out. It's been sometime since Jun's last drama, I'm sure he'll be as perfect in this one as he was in the others.

I translated the rest of the messages from the official site.
Mao:
"Hana Yori Dango" I used to like the manga very much. I understand the multi layered personality in the manga. And every production I'm faced with, I think I try to give a strong image. The image of the series has many readers and I think change will be difficult. People who watch will see a new world of boys and flowers and be able to discover a new quality in this production. Again, people who've seen the manga will be able to enjoy the drama I think. Besides this, my feelings about being chosen to play the heroine, I've become emotionally attached to this performance and I'm thrilled right now.
Shun:
my mom and older sister love this manga, they're very happy I'm doing this. My character is going to be different from the kind in Hana. Honestly, doing it exactly is difficult, to be in the same place I think. I'm going to do this to the best of my ability
Shota:
I'm doing several dramas right now, So beginning this one I have to concentrate more than the others and be more tenacious. Starting filming has been a pleasure
Abe:
The Taiwan version, it seems like each nation in Asia will have a break at this drama, it's a pleasure to be in Japan's version. In this drama, my performance, will be next to my drama debut. I'm really glad to be a part of it, I think.

translated the producer's message on the site (can you tell I'm bored?) it's a little rough and doesn't make perfect sense, but you get the gist
Why, now that the serialization of "Hana Yori Dango" has finished, are we
continuing it. It's like, "Even through poverty, I believe in keeping hold,
and standing up to adversity, never faltering in circumstances and fighting
on without hesitation", in turn, "Being truly lovely and self conscious,
but becoming enraged when a companion gets hurt, especially if you're a
woman from a late crop" so a weed or Cinderella, even though a plant, can get an overwhelming response. Again, the person playing the leading part is important for the heroine, At first possessing a roar like a wild animal descending from heaven. Like a bright prince the leader of thegroup is the son of a distinguished family, 4 people make up the F4, when they're together the four people behave differently in their appearance, before long they're seen as wonderful cool men who are growing to adulthood, basing their style on their leader. They were born and grown up in wealthy circumstances, their personalities are wholly defined by this in their hearts, Any clumsiness must not be displayed when they're together, they've grown up together and understand their appearance well. (This is what's truly important to them) (This is the kind of thing they exist for) and (When a person loves, why is this?) They're just a little eager, and I think they try to paint a powerful impression.

Wow, another adaptation of Hana Yori Dango (and with Mastumoto Jun, sounds promising!)! What are the chances that it'll spark off another global hoo-haa like the Taiwanese version?
That being said, I've always liked the story though. Even though Makino Tsukushi and Doumyouji Tsukasa weren't like super special characters with some special personalities (actually they have pretty common characteristics typical of people in their respective social standings) but there's something really unique about their interaction that appeals to me.
Can't wait to see what the Japanese production will be like!
