Man gets hit on the head with pig hoof. News at 10.
I know one website where you can pre-order a leg of Jamon Iberico de Bellota for a measly 1800 dollars.

HAHA. It ain't cheap my friend...either to eat or use as a shank.
Don't forget you'll be paying in Euros, too...which puts you at a further disadvantage.

we're expecting the exchange rate to be much more friendly than when my other friend went on his honeymoon and it was like 1.7/1

NO DOUBT. The ONE major currency that the dollar has made major head way against in the last 6 months is the EURO, it's still super a$$ against the YEN though.
You are going to Spain at a good time in terms of the forex rate.
Japan '05 ~ 105/1
Japan '09 ~ 93/1

Dude, my friend and I visited this small bar in Kyoto called Kuro, in Pontocho, one of the geisha districts...when I was rapping with the bar keep he mentioned that he visited the US only once in his life about 25 years ago. He went to Hawaii...at the time the forex rate was 300 Yen to 1 USD.
My, how times have changed.

Mad skrilla. Could buy a lot of Spanish Lattes or better yet some slices of Jamon Iberico and Marcona almonds.
So whereabouts in Spain are you guys planning to go? Madrid? Barcelona? Basque country? Foam parties in Ibiza?

Oh man, i wish i had time for ibiza, but i think party season will be over by the time we get there aug or oct... i can't handle loud music anymore anyways.
we're planning on concentrating on the east and southern areas, Barcelona for about a week, then hop across to San Sebastian and Bilbao. if we have extra time, maybe a side trip to Bayonne but its doubtful since we aren't planning to rent a car. after San Sebastian, take a train down to Valencia and Alicante. Train back up to Barcelona for the flight home.
I would like to see Granada and Sevilla, but I think the agenda is already over ambitious for two weeks. If we I had another week, i'd take an overnighter to london and hang out with some friends for a few days and leave from there. I don't think i can take 3 weeks out, coworkers will kill me and i'll have to bring my laptop and work a few of the days.

Dayem son...yeah you should kick back. You are going to wear yourself out if you try to see the whole country. I'd rather see a couple of spots, chill, eat, drink, and party then hit the road like a Gypsy. Hehe. But then that's just me.
You might have to buy a Pata Negra Jamon Iberico leg to gnaw on while on the road if you are going to hit ALL those spots.

Right, we are figuring, 4 days in barcelona, 2 in san sebastian, 2 in bilbao, 3 in valencia and alicante. -1 for the flight. its ambitious and i could take an extra day or two if we need to, my buddy can take a month if he wanted.
we're still gathering info on all the cities, but from what i've heard, 5 days in barcelona is more than enough. san sebastian is the bordeaux of spain and bilbao has all the funky buildings and museums.
we'll adjust as we go, we've got 6 months to finalize. most likely, it'll be valencia that goes, but i hear the paella is the best there.

Valencia also has one of the best aquariums in the entire world.
You will have a grand trip how ever you chop it up. I wish you all the best.

Perfect timing. I leave for Europe this Friday.
I think I'll hit Spain next year. Or Thailand. Not sure yet. _________________

LOL! O, I land in Milan and then travel to Florence. I'll go to Greece (Delphi and Athens) after Rome. It'll be nice to visit the old spots in Italy. I missed it there. Greece will be a new experience. _________________
