Love for all creatures, Beastie.
I hope our resident sensei, Wynter, is having fun in Greece!

Think she may have moved on to Italy by now.
Now there is some fabulous eats there. _________________

I doubt they have anything that can beat a good old Canadian Papa Burger.

I doubt it...but I'm sure their brick ovens are reserved for much more delicious treats!

The flattened chicken I ate in Rome baked on the bricks was beyond fantastic. _________________

Do they pound it with a mallet or do they stomp out it with their feet? Hehe.
J/k. The Italians know how to eat!

My grandfather was going and I asked if I could tag along. We have family there and my sister paid for my ticket! (cause I'm broke )
Has anyone been? What should I see for sure?! I'll be there for 10 days (aug 10-20) |
I was there while I was in the Navy, but only for about 3 days. Did the usual tourist stuff, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, etc. Maybe peg (aka brad2) would have a better idea.

Grand! Hopefully she'll see my post.
Where else did you visit while in the navy? _________________

That's a lot of Europe. And an average of 3 days each? Or did the stays vary?
(gomen, I don't know much of how the navy worked...) _________________

That's okay, NOBODY understands how the navy works.
Most places we would be in port for about a week or so. We were over in the Mediterranean for 6 months at a stretch, so we'd be out at sea playin war, doing the military bit for a couple weeks, then pull in someplace for 4 or 5 days, maybe a little longer.
I did 3 six month cruises so by the time the 3rd one rolled around I just wanted to get it over with, I'd pretty much been everywhere there was to go.

Yes, I remember you telling me about the 3 "cruises". Considering the circumstances, what was your favourite stop? _________________
