For some reason, when I read this, I thought it was funny. From FujiTV News:
Police arrested a regular customer at a ramen noodle shop in Kanagawa Prefecture for allegedly beating up another customer who complained about the food.

Tokyo movie-goers get VIP experience at $300 a seat
Japanese movie fans are booking up new luxury box seats which, for nearly $300, come with a glass of champagne to get the reel going.
Shinjuku Piccadilly, a new cinema complex in Tokyo is offering "platinum" seating for 30,000 yen ($278) per film, at which movie-goers can enjoy a private box furnished with custom-made Italian leather sofas and a surround sound system.
"We started taking orders yesterday, and we already have several bookings," said a spokesman for the cinema complex.
To complete the V.I.P. experience, customers have their own entrance, a private elevator and a secluded waiting room, the spokesman said.
And if you can fork out an additional 30 million yen ($278,200), the private box will be yours for the whole year.
The complex, the biggest in its scale in the Tokyo metropolitan area, opens its doors on Saturday.
Although economic data points to a persistent weakness in Japanese consumption of luxury goods, the experience adds to a long list of promotions aimed at the growing class of super-rich and wealthy Asian tourists, including a $15,000 diamond martini and a $108 hamburger.
Yeah... If I went to the Clapton concert at the Staples Center back in 2007, a pair of tickets for the ground level would've cost nearly $300 a pop, if not more...

There you go...what movie could be worth 300...nuts...they built a brand new cinema in Roppongi Hills when the complex was first built...it's super clean and high end...I don't think the luxury seats there are anywhere near 300...
A strong earthquake with a preliminary 6.6 magnitude struck off of Japan's eastern coast Saturday, the country's meteorological agency said. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The quake, which occurred off the coast of Fukushima prefecture about 150 miles northeast of Tokyo, was followed by a magnitude 5.4 aftershock. The quake shook buildings as far away as Tokyo.
The agency issued a tsunami warning for parts of Japan's eastern coast, but the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu said there was no broad threat in the Pacific.
However, earthquakes of this magnitute can generate local tsunamis that can be destructive within a 60-mile range, the tsunami center said.
Japan sits atop four tectonic plates and is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries.
A Japanese woman went on a stabbing rampage at a crowded train station, wounding seven men after failing to slash her own wrist, police said Tuesday.
The woman attempted to cut her wrist with an army knife at a shopping mall Monday night near the train station in Hiratsuka, 43 miles southwest of Tokyo, but someone bumped into her and she became angry, said police official Hidetoshi Yukitake.
"She was screaming as she was slashing people at random," Yukitake said.
None of the seven men stabbed were seriously injured, he said.
The woman was arrested at the scene after being overpowered by onlookers.
"She said she was frustrated. She was also angry at her father," Yukitake said.
The stabbing was the latest in a spate of similar attacks in Japan.
Seven people were killed in Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district on June 8 when a man slammed a truck into a crowd of people, jumped out and began stabbing passers-by at random.

Personally, I think we're just hearing about it more with "instant" media being widely available. I know Japan has been billed as one of the safer countries, but sometimes I wonder if that's because we simply don't hear about much of what happens, until recently. The Last Friends thread brought up how the culture there turns their back to crime; it's no wonder so little of it is recorded. Ironic. To think that a little over a hundred years ago, someone like her would have been cut down before she could hurt too many people. Times sure have changed.

Mugger Arrested despite Winnie the Pooh Disguise
Tokyo police arrested a 20-year-old man on Monday for mugging two men last month with three teenage boys while they were dressed as Winnie the Pooh and other characters.
"It seemed like the thing to do at the time," Kita-ku resident Masayuki Ishikawa told police. He was arrested for robbery and injury.
According to police, Ishikawa picked a fight with two people including a 27-year-old man on a street near his house and dragged them to a nearby park, where he robbed them of about 18,000 yen in cash. The 27-year-old man suffered a cut lip, which is expected to take about two weeks to heal.
Ishikawa and his accomplices obtained the outfits from the home of a 16-year-old high school boy. Police say they plan to report Ishikawa's three accomplices to local prosecutors in the near future
