as niko2x pointed out:

avec is french and means
WITH

as in:
Monsieur Aba voyage avec son épouse et enfants.
Mr. Aba travels with his wife and children.

Comprenez-vous?

The writer was just being pretentious. Lots of people think that if they drop a french word or two they'll appear erudite, intelligent, and well-read.* Wink

* these are all synonyms for the same concept, and repeating different words with the same meaning over and over is another tool of pretension. With Stupid

Well i am not japanese but have met a lot especially out here... so i guess the ones coming to europe are already more open in terms of knowing that other working/cultural conditions will be different and maybe difficult.... but have seen a lot of contrast ..

some hate to work in japanes companies .. while others had already decided to go back and join a japanese company !!!

just wondering .. since a lot of working age people out here who fit all these categories ... what do u all think.. and ofcourse people like me who are non-japanese but have worked in own/foreign countries are also most welcome to join ...

work environment / expectations / cultural shock / acceptance ... etc

i think, as a whole, that they are probably not unlike the rest of us. they will most likely go where the job is beneficial to them, domestically or otherwise.

NO i disagree ... ofcourse i say this only from the people i met and know ..

The ones who r more westernized .. clothes .. been outside japan .. music etc etc .. They were definite about not working in a japanese companies .. was too fixed and strict and heirarichal .. and u know stuff like that ..

but is interesting to hear from people ... lets see what other think !!

Hrm... not sure who the nihonjin are here besides me and Ahochaude.

I'm too old and Ahochaude is married.

Back on topic, I had a chance to go to Tokyo to help a company set up their new office. They have big expansion plans. Tempting.
