i disagree... i wish that they don't push through with the plan to air Gokusen. K dramas and Chinese dramas are so rampant in the PI right now that its sickening. I think the these tv stations should work on making their own note-worthy dramas...no fantasies (their terrible in that field).... its pathetic how they look to other countries to entertain the local masses. its a sign that they admit that they can't do better or even equal to. just my opinions.
Sheeesh.....here we go again . C'mon, showing other asian dramas doesn't mean our showbiz industry is not good enough to entertain local masses. Southeast asian countries like Singapore and Thailand have been showing jdoramas and other asian dramas, and yet their entertainment industry is still stable. Even the USA is airing jdoramas. Anyway, I agree with you regarding those so-called fantaseryes. It really sucks .

No matter how reliable the source is......until I see Gokusen in our airwaves, I wouldn't count on it _________________

haha! point taken. i'm trying to be optimistic about this. hopefully... so i guess we'll have to wait a few more months. if this is true, i hope it gets a good timeslot. not those dead hours... like 2pm or something... _________________

Isn't next month the start of the summer season here? And iceuck said that it's gonna be aired before summer. Meaning it's gonna be shown soon.....hopefully . About the timeslot, yeah they should put this on primetime. But in case it doesn't go that way, I have no problem with that. I can always rely on my good old friend.....the vhs _________________

i guess it'll depend on their market. i mean, since it's a high school dorama, maybe they'll put it before the news, the time when animes are aired. but i remember before when they promoted it, it was on the weekends, before lunch. good for you, you have vhs. i'm far from home, so i don't. plus i don't get to watch tv here. lazy going down to the dorm's tv area.

yeah, i know what you mean. i'd hate it if it got little audience share because of a crappy timeslot (when they finally air, anyway). it'll be like depriving pinoys.. haha. _________________

actually it's true that GMA has already gotten gokusen (plus some kakkoii- SMAP-guy dramas). pero when it's going to be shown is still unsure. sana nga before this summer na.
yun nga lang i'm pretty nervous about the dubbing. i have nothing against GMA and they do show good dramas, but their dubbing sometimes tend to er... . there are some "ANO RAW?" moments that i guess got lost in translation somewhere. haaaay...
regarding jdoramas going pinoy-public thing, i don't think it's bad kasi if we make it exclusive to j-addicts, we're being too elitist about it. if j-dorama pushes to public-viewing, we'll get more sources (and bababa ang presyo) of the addictive stuff!
la lang... pardon me for this uber-bangag post. i didn't get much sleep
thanks to those who pmd me about their jdorama contacts

SMAP i.e. Takuya Kimura ? Summer release of Gokusen ? Hmm, are they targeting the students still ? If you're a student on summervacation, I think they might be inclined on watching something else than a teacher and a classroom. But then again, its Yukie Nakama... _________________

yup, i know what you mean... but do you know that GMA and ABS outsource dubbing services? there are only a few dubbers accredited by these stations so basically the voices you hear from telenovelas, cartoons to koreanovelas are just a small group of people. rotation lang sila.

yup yup yup...kimutaku is going to make an appearance na rin! and i think people will watch Gokusen because of the bishounens rather than Yukie Nakama.. more female viewers eh...
if ever the date and timeslot has been confirmed i think i may be able to post (the airing of Gokusen that is) _________________

I did noticed that too. I remember hearing the voice of Yusuke (from Yuyu Hakusho anime) coming out of Won Bin's mouth in the dubbed verion of Endless Love and Friends .

Fangirls......that's expected . Most guys would prefer spending their time and money playing MMORPG during summer vacation than watching dramas. In my case, I do both . _________________

Hmm any idea of what Kimura Takuya dorama would it be ? Hopefully it's Love Generation. Then again, it is 9 years old already...
Yeah, I also like Love Generation. There is a possibility that they will air that drama. Afterall, they did air Hoshi no Kinka (Heaven's Coins), also a classic drama from the 90's.

yeah, pretty nervous bout the dubbing too. but just it being shown is okay for me already. haha. and i also think the prices would then drop, but most importantly, more jdo merchandise!! it's really hard to find the cds kasi.
OMG!!! kimutaku??? really???!!!! wow!!! i hope it's pride. haha. so in love with this drama.

di ba, diba? kimutaku is just so sugoi!!! haha. and i also like jin too. gwapo talaga siya. but i don't know why, i just love kame more. like i really heart him to death. with all the pagka-payatot, super taray na kilay and everything. haha. i also like nishikido ryo, and lately, yamapi. and of course oguri shun. well, those are basically my bishounen. haha. can't think of one na talagang idol ko. siguro si takashi or kimutaku. (coz kame isn't my idol.. we're involved. bwahaha!)
for the girls, ii like nanako, yukie, and erika.

so true.. it's really fun to guess where you heard that voice before. i do it all the time. brain and memory exercise. haha.
there's only a couple of them, tapos they're contractuals. so basically, they don't get paid that much even if the show becomes super sikat. i remember reading an article about it before, when it was the mg craze. not sure if it's still like this though... _________________

i know GMA usually uses Telesuccess (sila Monty Repuyan at Dada Carlos--> not really sure of the last name) for their anime dubbing, though i don't know if that also includes their dramas. sa ABS naman, i don't know the name of the company but most of their dubbers are profs in UP College of Mass Communication. i like their dubbing (and the translations) better (o biased lang ako? hehehe...).
oh, and yeah... is it kimutaku? if it is then probably the dramas would be L.V. and B.L.

I saw that too in the Japanese entertainment news thread. Seems like the JE boys are in trouble these days involving alcohol stuff . Still, we don't know if there is any truth to it . _________________
