mahirap ba mag qualify for monbusho? interested kasi ako kaya lang parang napakaraming requirements (e.g. 16 yrs na nag aaral). and medyo limited and choices sa "courses". parang pag pasok mo eh non diploma ka muna...
how long did you stay there? i stayed in chiba (sa mga bukirin... hehe ) for a brief period lang naman.

sa pagkakaalam ko it's not that hard, at least in my school kasi affiliated siya and it does offer the scholarship yearly. although mukhang mahihirapan ako since i already went to japan through another scholarship program. i heard they want to give other people (i.e. those who haven't been to japan) the chance instead.

about the courses, i'm not sure though. i'm taking my masters in speech communication and mukhang malabo yata na meron... pero sige lang baka makalusot Bleah

i studied (at nangarir ng arubaito) there for a year. kainis nga kasi kung kelan nakaka-adapt ka na atsaka ka papatapon pauwi hehe besides, monbusho kasi 1 1/2 years tapos mas mataas pa allowance (180,000 yen per month) noon kasi sa aiej 80,000 yen lang.

pero kung may opportunity ka makapunta, go! grabe, na-late nga ako gumraduate pero sooobrang worth it!

same old, same old... yung mga nanalo sa mga singing contest... ganun. pero rakista kasi ako eh and i mostly favor indie bands so if you drop by the country again and you'd like to hear fresh pinoy indie rock music ... i'd recommend: drip, up dharma down, sheila and the insects, twisted halo, pin-up girls, itchyworms, daydreamcycle, etc. etc.

meron definitely kasi indie lang yung bands pero medyo mainstream na sila. lalo na ngayon itchyworms (they finally had their break!). check out www.fiestamundo.com for more indie mp3s. sa fiestamundo unang natagpuan ang sheila and the insects. (medyo britpop na puro synth kasi tunog nila kaya di ko masyado type) try niyo rin Radioactive Sago Project, they play a very diverse range, from jazz to cha cha to bossa nova na minsan ay may halong metal! di nga lang kumakanta si Lourd (who is a poet and literature professor) kay tumutula na lang siya. I think they are a revolutionary band, they are definitely one of a kind (pero syet gumaya ba sa pag tula yang rocksteddy na yan..sino ba sila?!?!?). Mahal ko ang Sago... (either you think they're so stupid or they're geniuses)

Bow Sago

sorry ang layo sa topic..but I can't help myslef from promoting them..heehee

what's so good about attorney vin dancel (just like his brother) ay napaka Pinoy ng dating ng mga kanta nila. may kurot sa puso ng bawat Pilipino.. (yes makata) Bonk

We need quality education. The fact remains that the Philippines has a 92% literacy rate (forgot kung saan ko nabasa, supposed to be higher in the past, 98-99%) although not much could be said on the quality of it, when compared to our Asian neighbors.

Actually, the way I see it, there should be a change in attitude and outlook. It doesn't mean that if you're not educated, you cannot lead a productive life. Just look at the one of the richest persons in the country today. John Gokongwei didn't finish a degree, although he has established a lot of progressive businesses. I believe that if the individual wants to really achieve progress he will strive to find a way.

Kaya nga lang, some would say that it would take much more. Since some opportunities would limit their qualifications to those who have diplomas, degrees. But the fact remains, if somebody like John Gokongwei could do it, all of us can have that possibility too. Victory! Peace!

Actually, it's really my first time delving on J-Drama... so far, I've only watched two.

(1) Kimi wa Petto

(2) Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu

'Sekaichu' is really touching, in the sense that I felt depressed. Puppy Dog Eyes Have you seen it?
