Talk about surprised.

I started downloading Monster Parent Ep.5 this morning by BT. (670mb) When I came back about 2 hours later it was done Shocked I guess it helps when there's plenty of seeds & peers.

Yup.

When I was first downloading Naoko, it was dragging, then a couple more seeds popped up and I was cranking along.... Victory! Peace!

Google "Seed Box". It's pretty cool for torrenting. But it's moderately expensive. Cheapest found was about $40/month. It's dedicated servers shared on a 1GB/s line that all share the cost for torrenting purposes.

I think there's something screwy with the tracker at d-addicts: i'm following the progress of my download via the d-addicts website (I can see my IP address listed) and at one point at had my download at over 18MB/s which isn't physically possible on my slow connection Head Scratch

I've always found their tracker to be slow and unreliable. bleh

i find i have better performance if i have less than 3 d-addict torrents loaded at one time, active or not. otherwise, wierd things start to happen and i get kicked off.

I usually only have 1 torrent going.

My torrent finished last night at 8PM: That's 22 hours for 3.2G. No complaints from me for once Wink

Hi all,
I was able to successfully download a Gou episode and its subtitle file and play it on the PC. Jumpie Now I would like to watch it on the DVD player. Is there a software to convert it to a file type that can be watched on TV via DVD player? Plus, I would like to save dramas to DVDs to watch again.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help!

Some DVD players can play the videos directly without any conversion.

What model player do you have?

It's a Sony Blue-ray player. Do you need the exact model?

Nope.

Don't all the new Blu-Ray players support .avi video and/or .srt subtitles?

If so, all you might have to do is burn the video and subtitles directly to DVD.

If not, you could use AviDemux to create a hardsubbed, DVD player-friendly video that you can use.

Here's a link to the program: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/AviDemux

I can sorta walk you through the program, if need be. Smile

I don't know anything about .avi or .srt files.....clueless Bonk (I used to be a mainframe programmer so PC stuff is foreign except for surfing and easy stuff. The young whippersnappers at work don't want to get into mainframe...don't know why. LOL).

I'll try copying the files to a DVD and test it out. Also, thanks for your help and the link to AvdDemux!! I'll give a holler if I need help. Thanks again!!! Big Grin

Where did you download the Go files from?

D-Addicts?

Check your Blu-Ray player's manual to see what video formats it can playback... Smile
