Did you check the Dramas listing for cast information?

Mostly a rhetorical question. He was a historical figure, and would have been in one or more of the scenes in this show, wouldn't he?

Possibly.

But there's no guarantees of historical accuracy when it comes to Taiga dramas. Wink

I get a feeling that they're better than US movies in this regard. Wink

Probably true, but then again, they cast Shingo Katori as Kondo Isami for "Shinsengumi" to bring in the fan girls. Shingo played as Isami as basically a nice guy. I've read a few books about the Shinsengumi, I can think of a lot of adjectives to describe Isami, and "nice guy" is nowhere on the list.

HaseKyo also appears in episode 19. Only for a short time but that's enough for me. It's interesting to see her wearing traditional Japanese clothing. Mr Green

You know, this drama is incorrectly listed here. It should be Komyo ga Tsuji. Just clarifying...that's all.

You know, I recently looked up "Koomyoo ga Tsuuji"(ah, for Hepburn) in my Japanese dictionary, and I got a very strange translation. Koomyoo is clever, while tsuuji is a bowel movement. So what's the English translation of the title of this dorama?

Well *that* is certainly wrong! rofl

From my (limited) knowledge of the Kanji in the title credits, I believe a rough translation would be something like "Great Distinguishments are the Crossroads (of a life)"

Hope that helps.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Also, Kagawa Teruyuki's character is listed as "Roppeita" but it should be "Rokuheita", I think. Wonder who to contact to get these fixed?
