damn.. i really like her as an actress.. but the way she acts here at public.. i dont know.. even Paris Hilton will never act like that i think.. _________________
You know... I rarely post in this forum. Usually I just lurk and look for good dorama to watch. But this recent "issue" has me really ticked off.
Has it occured to anyone that maybe, just maybe, she has some problem that's upsetting her these past few days, you know... just like everyone else on this god forsaken planet. Yeah, sure shes always had a bit of an attitude but who cares?! Do some of you guys really prefer the other actresses/idols/singers that are all plastic smiles and candy covered rainbows while in front of camera's? Do some of you really believe that's how they act when the camera's looking away? At least with Erika, what you see is what you get. For me, it makes her more real and more respectable than any other Japanese celebrity I know. I think its safe to assume that none of us here knows her personally. So unless you do, don't be so quick to judge her and label her queen ****h of the universe or anything to that effect. We don't know what she's been through and/or what she's going through right now and with the way the Japanese press works, we probably never will.
My point is, cut her some slack. Everyone has their bad moments. No one suddenly acts like that for no apparent reason. I apologize for the outburst but this has been bugging me for a while, and reading some of the posts just.... gets to me.
On a side note, I also have this weird theory that maybe this all some elaborate publicity stunt.

Sure everyone has bad days...but to display the attitude she had that day just seemed very unprofessional to me. You're a famous celebrity, you should be showing some professionalism when everyone's watching you, I bet there are people who look up to her as a role model. You can have a bad day, but how long is that PR event..? She can't at least release her stress later? I felt so bad especially for that little girl beside her, she was answering questions nicely, while Erika...well she just looked pissed. I'm not judging her or anything, just felt that it was not professional.

Early on Tuesday, actress Erika Sawajiri issued an apology on her official website for her unprofessional conduct this past weekend. She showed up at a PR event for the opening of her new movie, "Closed Note," but she was visibly upset about something and spoke only three brief sentences during the event. The incident reinforced her negative reputation as "Erika-sama" and drew sharp criticism from the media, other celebrities, and fans.
The actress was vague regarding the reasons for her attitude, but she acknowledged her lack of professionalism and admitted she had betrayed her fans. She also recognized that just an apology would not end the matter, so she plans to make amends for it in the future. I agree. There's a time a place for everything, and venting stress at a press conference of all places is just not smart, especially for a relatively new actress such as herself. Plus, she has a reputation of having a holier than thou attitude. It's a major turn-off to many people. If she really wants to establish herself as a professional, she needs to learn how to get a handle on that.

Man.. I think I know why she was mad.. You too would be mad if you were forced to wear that hideous outfit and a fake wig.. man I know Halloween is right around the corner... but man I'm sorry that doesn't look good on her. Yui looks geat though.. very Natural. _________________
