Good news! Today's newspaper in Japan are all reporting this:
Erika will be the lead actress in Spring drama for the first time!!
It's a drama which script adopted from manga "Liar Game".
It will be on air in Spring, 11pm every Saturday on Fuji TV.
I think she led in Galcir as well, but there were so many pretty leads =)
Thanks for the pics speed. The ballerina looks kinda creepy...

Strictly speaking, I think she's just a supporting character in Galcir. The lead of that drama is Fujiki Naohito. Japanese drama only has 1 lead, either male or female. If the drama has a female lead, the #1 male character is only considered a supporting role. That's my understanding. Correct me if I am wrong.

lol i wouldn't know. I thought it could be 2 but Naohito definantly shines more than Erika in Galcir. But I think Erika is the main focus out of all the girls in the series. Saying she's a "supporting role" sounds unfitting?

I know, but that's the truth.....That's something strange about Japanese dramac..yes, Erika is the lead on the female side, but if speaking of the whole drama, she's not considered leading role. Take Hana Yori Dango as example, guess why Matsumoto Jun didn't nominated for Best Leading Actor in the Drama Award Ceremony back in 2005? B/c they consider him as supporting role in Hana Yori Dango. It's very clear that Jun is the male lead in the drama, rite? But b/c the drama is more focus on the girl, so they make the female lead in the drama and Jun just supporting......And he did end up nominating and winning the Supporting Actor Award w/ Hana Yori Dango. Honestly, sometimes I think such rule is pretty ridiculous.
PS: Read the newspaper saying that Liar Game is actually a comedy.......

well, it means not too much difference to me as long as she's in a prominent role. She should have a big part in every episode. But if she IS leading then that must mean heavy screen time, which is good.

Is anyone interested in buying Erika's Memew mag?
There's a whooping High quality 16 pages plus 4 interview pages. Plus, the rest of the mag has a bunch of other cute girls. The images in here are some of Erika's best photoshoot images and the paper is really good. Everything is in perfect condition. Also, this magazine is rare since it is a somewhat old backorder issue. I have 2 copies.

Based on the manga series of the same name, Toda Erika plays an honest college student, Kanzaki Nao, who receives a million dollars one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their one million dollars. At the end, the winner gets one million dollars and the loser is one million dollars in debt. Horrified, Nao tries to contact the game organizers to give them their money back. Her old high school teacher offers to help, but it turns out he actually is her opponent in the game, and easily tricks her out of her million dollars. Coincedentally, Nao notices a newspaper article one day regarding an ex-swindler named Akiyama Shinichi. Desperate, she contacts him for help. _________________
