I was wondering why there are a couple of movies mixed in with all the drama's Like Battle Royale as an example. It is even in the top 50. It just does not seem to fit. Should there be a seperate movie list?

Long long ago, the site started out as a drama database. Then some dramas evolved into movie productions (e.g. GTO) and their own specials.

As the artistes are almost the same, they're appearing in the database alongside the dramas too. I don't think its very important to separate them. Right now at least its stated in the drama page that its a Movie.

What do the rest think?

Its the header of the feature artistes block, right in the center of the page.

I noticed the new Yada Akiko feature artiste info page and pic. Very nice. However.........

I found some typos in Yada Akiko's artiste info.

Yada Akiko Info Original Text wrote:
Yada Akiko has been involved in the glistening entertainment world since she was merely a teenager as model and actress. Blessed with fresh cute face and fabulous acting skill, Akiko has nailed the viewers with her ability to portray in any drama from comedic role, like koi no Chikara to dramatic role in Boku no Ikiru Michi.

Here is the corrections to said typos...
(All corrections are bolded and underlined)
(Phrases in parenthsis and italics are previously worded text that wouldn't be appropriate, in a grammitcal sense)

aho's corrected version wrote:
Yada Akiko has been involved in the glistening entertainment world since she was merely a teenager as a model and actress. Blessed with fresh a cute face and fabulous acting skills, Akiko has nailed the viewers with her ability to perform flawlessly ("portray" as formerly noted, wouldn't be appropriate) in any drama from a comedic role, like koi no Chikara to dramatic role in Boku no Ikiru Michi.

Good question. I was wondering how I could edit mine too. Smile

I think it's fine as is. The main focus of this site is still catered to Japanese dramas, not movies, hence the site's name.
When and if it starts to evolve to involve more of the movie scenarios, then perhaps we can seperate the movies from the dramas.

being able to edit your post without it saying "you can't post again so soon" would be nice.

There is however, you can only do a delete right after you post. I think if no one looks at your post, then it's okay to delete.
As that's a technical issue, I'm not really sure on how the software settings are set up on this site. The admin would know best.

This in turn, was a prompt that the admin inputted into the system.
I guess it was to control double postings and numerous posts, and SPAM.

I think it has a 30 second interval in which you must wait until successfully posting a new post.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it allows users to remove posts that were done in haste and not thought through. However it also allows them to remove things that may affect the context of the subsequent replies. Of course, if that option were made available, mods and admins should still be able to read the "deleted" post, just to make sure everything is on the up-and-up.

Ay, but there's the rub. It's not a "new" post per se, but an edit. Although the code as written treats a new post and an edit the same way.

For deletion of posts, you normally would be able to delete your own posts if nobody had replied to it, and its within a certain timeframe. It allows you to remove posts done in haste. If anyone had replied further in that topic, the user would not be able to delete his post.

As for the flood-control, it is indeed implemented, but for the sake of protection against attacks on the site. Submitting a post is a very CPU and memory intensive task because of modifications to the search table. Hence I had imposed the limit.
