I think that I like Osawa'a face now he is older. It has a nice mature feeling and sometimes he looks a little in need of a hug...if you know what I mean.
He was married to an actress/singer but they are divorced.

he's full of charisma, maybe that's what makes him more irresistible. I notice that the older japanese actors, the more charismatic they have become. Camera surely does love him. He always looks great.
yes, he was married to Hirose Kohmi.I heard that they got divorced because she aborted their child >.< I'm not sure whether this is a rumor. Do you know why they got divorced Peg? _________________

I don't know why they divorced. I do think she was much older than Takao. She is now married to an American. Maybe there's a reason there. Apparently she kept an apartment in LA for many years. Even before she married Osawa and probably up till now.
I did see a picture of her once and she was not exactly a beautiful young girl.

she is 2 years older than him. I've googled her picture once. Strangely she looks young I thought I was googling the wrong person. _________________

Since I had a hard time finding anything about her it is possible that the details were incorrect. It did seem odd to me that he would marry a woman much older but I thought well maybe she had some clout in the music business and he needed some help. who wouldn't want to help him??
The only picture I saw was of a rather plain looking woman but to me she really didnt look many years older. It still seemed an odd marriage.
Hope he find a charmer next time. He still has what it takes for any woman...

This is the latest I can find and it is definitely a FILM and not a drama
It is in the Tokugawa days prior to the ending of that clan later in the decade. should be good.
TBS has not yet officially decided on a sequel or movie for the popular drama series gJIN,h but lead actor Takao Osawa (41) is already set to star in another historical piece - gSakuradamongai no Hen h by director Junya Sato (hYAMATOh). Based on the novel of the same name by Akira Yoshimura, the movie retells the story of the Sakuradamon incident in 1860, in which the Chief Minister Ii Naosuke was assassinated at the gate of Edo Castle. Osawa has been cast as Seki Tetsunosuke, a samurai of the Mito domain who led the assassination. A large-scale open set was constructed for the film in the city of Mito, Ibaraki, reproducing the Sakuradamon gate where the incident took place. Shooting has already started and is expected to end in late March. The filmfs budget is estimated to be about 1 billion yen. Osawafs supporting cast includes Masato Ibu (66) as Ii Naosuke and Kinya Kitaoji (66) as Tokugawa Nariaki. Toei plans to release the movie nationwide in October.
I look forward to this as I like samurai stories especially the Tokugawa days.
Peg
