It's a fabulous piece. I was just horrified when they were using a synthesized version because it's such a rich orchestral piece.

Could it be that Aoi was just a novice film student and all she had access to was a synth version?

Oh, and since we're discussing about Rainbow Song , I love the way she dressed in this movie...kinda resembles her style as Ruka on Last Friends. Much of which I like...since someone mentioned that they have the Nodame haircut...I somewhat have the character's closet Smile

Welcome!

We're slowly but surely building an international Nodame golem. This is going to be good. Eventually, we'll say a magic word and you'll all spring together in some sort of eerie composite.

maybe you should listen to muse or iris, its make me sad.how come
the blind sister knows the feeling beetwen them ,

for the part of girlfriend maybe the director wants to show
the lack of kishida to get a woman, same as he didnt know the
feeling aoi for her ,for i and some other who watched the movie ,that part was must be edited or throw away, but maybe the director got another reason .maybe same reason as i'm read for that part

I think you're correct - the reason 'the girlfriend' was part of the movie was to give time and experience for the character to realize his feelings for Aoi. I just don't think it was done very well. She felt like a different story that was tacked on. I think they could have cut 20 minutes off the movie and it would have been perfectly acceptible to show him meeting her, sleeping with her, realizing that he didn't feel for her and showing him call Aoi.

But then.. I'm a person who thinks almost any movie can be made shorter to 'trim the fat'.

Yeah.. that was one of the two explanations I was positing. The other being that on a creativity level they specifically wanted to combine the motifs from different movements into a 'cohesive' whole.

It pretty much was... I think it totally upset the flow of the film.

yeah its too bad when he realized that when aoi its already
passed away. Shameful Cry
i like the words that aoi make in the back of love letter
"i love your indecisiveness"
"your lack of nerve"
"your slow grasp of thing"
"but mostly i love your smile"
Shameful Cry

I blame the camera: poor auto-exposure algorithm.

Or the photographer - you can see the white of the flash reflected off the couch - the flash should have been better diffused, with a hand or white piece of paper, at the least.

It surely isn't a Juri problem - she has a pretty good track record of looking good ;-)
