My heartfelt thanks to Losahead for sharing so many wonderful series by u/l them to a site where you can actually d/l them at full speed of DSL instead of the snail's pace of bittorrent. And no need to worry about seeders.....

Losahead you have shown the wave of the future in sharing dramas.

don't hate bitTorrent too much...how do you think all these drama files were originally distributed and acquired....without bitTorrent you wouldn't be applauding very much. Sweat

i've NEVER had a problem with BT.....aside from some difficulty configuring azureus initially....and that was due to my inexperience with "technical" computer stuff. i'm not as savvy as you computer wizards. Bow then again i don't have a router just a dsl modem on the home pc.

with a good swarm i can hit 250k-350k.....with a great swarm, many seeders and very few leechers....i can sometimes hit 500k-600k

sheesh... i need a faster connection... i top out at 190k down and i reserve about 20% overhead for regular surfing, that's what it's running at the max 150k right now.

i'm not going to b.s. you and say i get the upper limit transfer rates all the time...but yeah it happens.....hmmm.....200k to 250k is not uncommon especially with well-seeded files like fresh releases of Welcome to NHK or the like. I usually limit the upload rate on azureus to about 40k to 50k and let the download rate max out...unless i'm downloading several torrents at once.

i have the at&t yahoo dsl elite package for 30 bucks a month.

It's no wonder you love BT when you can get speeds like that. What sort of connection are you on? The absolute MAXIMUM I ever hit is around 150kB/s, here at work, but that's so rare it's not worth mentioning. I would be rapt if I could get 50kB/s continuous Sad

Although at work I can't configure the router for port forwarding - it's not an option Sad

I think it worth mentioning, that you have to keep in mind WHERE the seeds/peers are... i dont leave my Mac on all night, except on the weekends... so you wont get good speeds if youre on the other side of the world and your peers are here in the states sleeping.

In all the years I've tried BT on and off, only once was I able to get something resembling enough speed so I didn't have to sleep wake up sleep wake up sleep wake up for a one episode d/l. That was a Kuraki Mai single.

With the Losahead direct d/l I've already downloaded Long Vacation and Summer Snow in the last 2 days and I'm waltzing through Narita..... this would take me over a month on BT assuming the seeders were around more than a week. No configuration problems, no peers to hope for... just link and d/l whoopee.

i'm glad you found a resource but it'll never compare to BT in terms of availablity of files and quick distro......

i am seriously confounded by your BT encounter.....you're the only person i've ever heard with so many problems....

That helps Smile

As i've stated before, Australia is about to get 8MB/s/384kb/s. I REALLY want to upgrade to that Smile

if you get that...you'll be flying high...you could download multiple torrents and get good completion times.....even batch files would be feasible...trust me...my connection is just above standard...i've heard of ppl with much much faster connections....but i'm not complaining.

The REALLY serious connections that are being completed at various exchanges at present are 24MB/s x 1MB/s. We're hoping to get ours at work early next year. The only problem is that this is being done by private ISP's, and they will only install in exchanges where there is enough demand: = capital cities.

I won't be complaining when ours is up and running though Smile
