anyone kind enough to give a brief summary of what happened? |
they were still looking for their fifth member.. and the president tanaka(eita) would not give them a chance to join the festival.. hanamura kyoko decided to help them out by using tanaka's attraction to her as a bait to make tanaka soften.. but tanaka found out and was really insulted.. the next day, he couldn't find the money he was keeping for the festival and immediately the student's council blamed it on the four synchro guys.. takahara(ishigaki yuma) was really angry at tanaka's attitude and went to confront him.. they found the money clipped in tanaka's book.. instead of reporting to the teachers that tanaka was setting them up, the four guys were just really happy to get the money back.. howvere, they still did not have their fifth member after yasuda, kankuro's(yamada takayuki) friend let them down.. the only thing they could do now was swim.. so they went to the sakuragi school's pool where kyoko had got the permission from the teacher to allow them to use the pool.. tanaka met them there and handed a list of people applying for the festival.. at the bottom of the list was the synchro guys..!! kankuro couldn't believe it.. and the four guys jumped about happily before realising they still had one member short.. they turned around to ask tanaka about it, and realised he had stripped down to his trunks.. saying he joined a the fifth member..
**end** ^^

I would envy you a lot. Over here in North America, I don't get the chance to watch ANY J-dramas whatsoever. The ones I've seen, I have either only bought them in S'pore and Malaysia or just download subbed ones on the internet.
The only Japanese TV shows that I get here are old episodes of PopJapan TV and a few other older variety shows that are kind of interesting, but not nearly that recent. You have to get satellite TV around here to even think about getting stuff like NHK's popjam and other NHK programs.
It sucks living here. I hardly watch TV as it is. Actually, most of my "TV" watching comes from downloading a few odd Japanese music shows and the like from online sources. | i envy u too,cuz u get to watch Japanese Variety shows.....in Singapore, there aren't any more Japanese Variety shows. i don't know i if starhub cable have any or not....but I certianly hope variety show like Musicstation,ASAYAN, Mecha^2 Iketteru!, SMAPxSMAP, Tetsuwan! Dash, Giragameshu etc.....will be aired in Singapore.....

Hi all, I happened by chance to get a copy of the Program Highlights catalogue 2004 which Mediacorp had produced for its corporate clients. It contained the list of J-dramas which they had acquired rights to air. Thought I share wif all of you here what to expect for the rest of the year.

Just curious..... as I don't live in Singapore, how long does it take a new Japanese drama to be aired in your country? I'm assuming that most are without English subtitles and are only in Chinese subtitles right? I cannot watch any Japanese dramas on TV, no station has them and the only Japanese satellite TV station only has a few odd NHK based ones. I have to pay a lot for actual Japanese programming, even if it is only really NHK stuff.
Therefore, I just stock up on new dramas from my friend, usually. He finds a lot of stuff on the internet. Or just from my cousin in Singapore, the last time I went there, which was a couple of years back, I stocked up on some nice VCDs. It would last me for at least a couple more years, lol.
To answer your previous question, as for shows like Music Station and SmapXSmap, I only get to see them through downloading them through bittorrent sources.

It has always been this way. New doramas in Japan will be broadcast here about 1, or even 2 years later. This is because MCS supposedly has to 'order' the dorama from fujitv. Go visit the official fujitv site, then surf somewhere around 'overseas partners', then click on Singapore. You'll see a list of doramas that have been screened here.
