Beautiful You was released on April 23rd and debuted at #1. They are still number one today.

Hopefully they can maintain steady sales to grab the number one weekly.

They returned to Korea for a week to film a few variety shows back in February. Here is one of my favorite show they were on. They are so cute and dorky.

I went to HB this year. It's an annual Korean Music Festival hosted at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, CA. Since a lot of artists in Japan are also Korean, I've been fortunate enough to see performers such as BoA and DBSK.

THE CONCERT

The Crenshaw Choir sang the American National Anthem, which was the choir behind the inspiration of the Sister Act movies. Pretty cool, huh? Xiah (Junsu) from DBSK sang the Korean National Anthem. When he came on stage, all the girls went nuts! I have to admit, me too. I was screaming my head off. His voice is so beautiful, especially live. It's very melodious, makes you want to sigh.

The group that everyone was waiting for! After SHY's performance, everyone knew they were next. Before Brian and Ock Ji-hyun even had a chance to announce them, girls were frantically running down the row of garden boxes to get a closer view of them. That totally cleared up the area in front of me so I got a perfect view of the stage. There was so much screaming that I only heard bits of Brian's intro, "Best idol group" and "Dong Bang-" ^_^ Then it was madness. They were the only group to actually have like fog effects. 'Rising Sun' was lip synced but I'm pretty sure it was lip synced to one of their live concerts because it didn't sound exactly like the recording. But the choreography and dancing totally made up for it because the boys were so into their performance. It was so surreal, actually watching them perform. I'm just happy I brought binoculars with me so I can see all of their faces. After 'Rising Sun,' they did their intro and if possible, the crowd got louder. It was so cute, watching the reactions on their faces. I honestly don't think they were expecting to get that kind of reception here in the US because it was clear that all of them were shell-shocked. Xiah and Yunho were smiling the entire time while Jae-joong, Yoo-chun, and Chang-min looked like they didn't know what to say next. Jae-joong did warm up and smiled eventually, and let me tell you, he's so cute when he does. Yunho did a great job in getting the crowd hyped up.

Then they went into 'Tonight.' At first, I thought they lip sang to that song but then I noticed Chang-min fumbling a little in the beginning so it couldn't have been. Just goes to show how amazing their vocals are. I swear, I got teary eyed during this song because it's so pretty and I couldn't believe I was actually seeing them perform it. They don't come here often so I was so grateful that I had a chance to see them. After 'Tonight' they sang 'Purple Line.' In actuality, they lip sang to 'Purple Line' but I didn't really mind. The choreography was crazy complicated for that, too. And in all honestly, 'Purple Line' is my least favorite DBSK song. XDD

Highlight: Watching the smiles on their faces as they looked out at the crowd. I swear, I fell in love with them even more.

*I had my own encounter with the Dong Bang boys. Let's just say it involved an elevator and lots of squishing.*

Dong Bang Shin Ki, SNSD, Super Junior T, Brian – Balloons, Let's Go On Vacation

When DBSK left the stage, Brian was encouraging us to demand an encore from them. They came out again, only joined by all the other SM artists. It was really fun, watching everyone having fun together on stage. At one point, I focused my binoculars on Brian, who was standing next to Ock Ji-hyun behind the MC podium. He looked really antsy and jumpy. You could totally tell he wanted to join in on the fun. Then one of the staff placed a hand on Brian's back and pushed him, telling him to go on and join them. Brian was majorly happy about that. As a result, lots of Yunho and Brian moments. XDD

Highlight: There were so many cute moments between Brian and Yunho, and also Ye-sung and Lee-teuk. I'll have to find a good fan camera so you all can see what I'm talking about.
