hehe
You know you're ugly when you're making metal rust.

I was looking at Uniqlo. It seems they have smaller pants size, than US/Can. For jeans, they have 27~35. Shorter length too, not 34. I could actually go into any stores and find pants that fits perfectly. Puppy Dog Eyes

I just found a reason to go to Japan twice a year. Mr Green

thereLs on in London too and muji everywhere ...

I had to go for work to Paris today. Since I was way too early (see also the talk crap about work thread later on) I went to Colette and the Galeries Lafayette. The former was full of French drooling over Japanese fashion stuff (Harajuku photobooks, ID magazine Japanese edition, Comme des garcons clothes, random Otaku gimmicks etc). The latter was packed with Japanese - spending a fortune on Euro-fashion (Luella, Dries van Noten, Lanvin) - even most of the shop assistants were Japanese. Crazy! Shocked

Last time I went to Paris, several years ago, I wanted to go to the Louis Vuitton store on the Champs Elysees...it was raining and there was a line of people outside the door (because the store was too crowded so they were letting people in a little at a time)....every person in line was Japanese, except for me.

Plus, itLs a luxury brand, itLs not that much cheaper in Paris.

Tell her Tokyo is the new Paris - it has more LV stores and even wonderful pastry. Plus the Chanel building alone in Ginza is bigger than the whole Galeries Lafayettes.

When I went to see the art exhibit for Japanese artist Takashi Murakami here in Los Angeles about a month ago.....they built a Louis Vuitton boutique in the musuem just for length of the exhibit because of the Murakami collabaration with Louis Vuitton....in fact they had certain leather goods that were only available at that boutique and no where else in the world.

So die hard LV collectors would actually queue for these exclusive items. Thank good I donLt care that much about exclusive items.

A bit off topic, but did you like the exhibition?

Thank goodness when I went, the exhibit wasn't crowded but I heard on certain weekends there was a line outside the museum to see the exhibit....so the LV freaks must have been in full force.

Yes it was great....there were lots of pieces...both sculptures and paintings....from the very small to the huge....it was a very good exhibition....they even had a big screen video room showing a Kanye West video that Murakami created and directed.
