I'm digging into potential IT solutions to everyday problems. This thread is to invite everyone to come up with 20 things in life that you're unhappy with today, and feel could be much better. With some brainstorming, some really cool ideas could pop up!

I'd appreciate it to be as specific as you can, rather than "no time", "no money", etc. It can be anything really, like "I get stuck easily when thinking up of new ideas", or "I can't think of any romantic ideas for valentines day", or "I get lost easily in the streets". Bleah Just some ideas to get things kicking. Beaten

OK. I think I'll get the ball rolling.

I'm really bothered, in fact I absolutely hate, the way forum members are bastardizing the English language with abbreviations of bad grammar. A particularly grueling example is the use of 'thanks b4' when they actually mean 'thanks in advance'.

Hmm, this thread seems like a variant of the "What Bothers You Most" thread to me... Sweat

Maybe. However Genma was looking for problems that lend themselves to an IT based solution. My gripe with the misuse of language is one such problem - a semantics parser can be applied to a post before it is stored in the database and displayed. This parser can, hopefully, scale down the monstrosities imposed on the English language.

Thanks for the effort thtl!

Remember these problems need not be stuck to things going on JDorama.com, it's things happening in your life!

She was in bikinis in her photo album 'Juri First', and there are suggestive scenes in her drama SP "Bokutachi no Sensou". Head over to the 'Ueno Juri' thread for more details/photos.

This thread was for Genma's project. Better stay on course unless you want your behind seriously violated. Wack

good point, sir....hmmm....i can't necessarily think of twenty things that i would complain about or consider problematic but as a heavy user of the internet with an interest in Japanese culture i would like to see better translation tools for articles and information written in Japanese or other languages, for that matter....so as to be able to read them in cogent English

When I walk into my office from a classroom in search of something, and forget the moment I cross the threshold.

I agree with Tu-san..... a good Japanese to English translator would be awesome. Some of the things i've tried to translate with Babelfish have come out so strangely.....
