I know how you feel. I'm a white girl who loves anime, manga and drama. I cant speak Japanese very well yet, even though I have taken it in college. I don't feel that you're odd, in fact you're normal to me
And I'm leaving in one month to live in Japan for a year. So don't worry!

FYI: your signature ani-gif is a bit large, you may want to reduce the size before a mod asks you to do it.

Should I ever get the urge to visit a foreign country, I'll get my shots, my passport, a couple of phrase books, take a stiff shot of whiskey... and risk a short trip to Western Canada. (Adventure is not my middle name.)
LOL..you've made your point, precisely.
if you do take a shot of whiskey...in honor of the film Lost in Translation...make it Suntory Time

if u are wiered i'm a freak! and since i'm not a freak you are just fine. i slowly realized my interest in japan(asia). one day i realized that almost all my hobbies were originated in japan. this made me dive deeper in other parts of their culture, and i fell in love with them too. since then i haven't looked back. i don't know where you live but where i live i have many friends who share the same interest, but find myself the only white person at many social events. looking at my cell phone i think about 85-90% of the numbers i have are asian people. not how i planned it but those are the people i get along with.
