Here something I noticed,if the leads of the show is over 30,most likely the show is tailored for working adults and not for the younger crowds, shows like love complex, shomuni and sekei bijin are some good examples.
That's pretty much true. And because of that, the rating for those shows are most likely lower than shows that target the younger crowd. It's the same here in the U.S...
I disagree with Cheap Love, Summer Snow and Beautiful Life being "pretty unenjoyable to watch"...I enjoyed all three of them and I would write them on my *gotta watch list* prett high on the top, less Cheap Love but SS and BL. But I find it true that all three of them had their slow parts and one other thing in common, their endings are somewhat similar in happiness factor and don't really give you a "go get them tiger!" attitude do they
The worst drama, which I even had to stop watching because I couldn't take the bore and repeatingess of it anymore, was..oh shit, can't even remeber it's name now..*takes a thinking break*...ah, it was called..um..*needs to check jdorama database to find it's name*..here it is: The beauty or the Beast nanako fans might want do this to me but they gotta face the truth. I like her too, but I like others better..
Every episode is pretty much the same sequence of events, just dressed up differently. It's not really the only drama which has this, Shota no Sushi has a similar 1 episode block story thing going on, but at least it kind of builds up toward the end(a little). The main male guy in Beauty or Beast just plainly goes on my nerves with his "the good and cool guy" attitude. We don't have much story development through out the drama, except the past the nanako and "not-so-cool guy" share, which you get bits and pieces in every 2nd episode or so. I had to stop watching at ep 8 I think it was..one of the few dramas where I thought, "too bad for the dvd-r, I already burned it"
But everyone feels differently about it, give it a try..it might just be your piece of cake
loved to love kind of sucked. didnt really care for younger men either. i kinda liked shiroi kage...it was a little slow, but in the end it was alright
haven't seen Loved to love, but it's casting isn't too bad..2 laydies I like are in it.
I kinda liked Younger Men myself, but it's true that it was kinda slow somewhat, all the women where evil and it was a little dark. That's how I experienced it..so I disagree a little with you
I keep putting off the drama starting at ep 10, so only 2 more eps to go(forgot the name of it once again). it's a story about a young intern that wants to become a doctor who's a complete stubborn crybaby. I liked it at first, but again, the story kept virtually repeating, the main character was always dull and in the same old moldy mood..when you catch him in a moment where he's not crying. And he seems to completely ingore all the hot nurses around him, which made me wonder if he was in fact gay..but oh well, maybe he starts to see a woman in the last two eps, that would be kind of late to develop a good character though.

I'm new here, so this is going to be my first post...Welcome me then!
about Over Time, I thought it's a pretty good show...there's chemistry between Takashi & Makiko, and the dialogues exchanged between them are pretty unforgettable, even hilarious at times! I disliked the ending though...
SOS? It's a pretty good show in my opinion...yes, it's kind of slow, but if you're into K-Dramas like me, you'll probably like it!
I haven't actually come across doramas that I don't like, but maybe Concerto...though KimuTaku is in it, but still... _________________

Otousan was really poor. I don't remember the titles of other shows I didn't like, unfortunately, since I only watched a few episodes before running away.

Loved to Love is good only to see Kuroki Hitomi in some nice mini skirts and outfits. And then there's Sakaguchi Kenji for the ladies.
As for Kikukawa Rei, BLEAH
Younger Men, as for that, it was like watching a train/car crash.
It sucked but you couldn't help but to watch and see who would get jacked up this week. _________________

I wonder why she becomes an Actress anyway..just because she went to Todai? Bleah indeed!
Younger Men..hmm..intend to watch it for the same purpose? Is this purpose is good or what?

The purpose of watching it is just to see many people getting hurt here and there. The drama itself sucked but with everyone getting hurt here and there, it was worth the watch.
Like I said, it's like watching a car accident. Not a good thing, but you just can't help yourself from watching it. _________________

IMO:
WITH LOVE
God... terribly B.O.R.I.N.G.... I watched the first 3 disc and skipped to the last 2 disc. And guess what! I can STILL catch what the story is about and the its still on the same thing! Ending was HORRIBLE... Unbelievable... this show is like a 4hr plot dragged to 13 episodes... Dun get me wrong... I like Yutaka! Just couldn't pull thru..
HERO
Not interesting enough cases... Kimura just dun look like what he is suppose to be... and i'm not too interested in the Kimura Takako pair again...
Bus Stop
Boring...
Long Vacation
Maybe its just me... not my cup of tea....
Oyaji & Otousan
These 2 drama are so alike that I think I should group them together. Haiz... how can 2 story be so alike? I can't pull through Oyaji in the first place~ I love Ryoko, Okada & Oikawa... but the plot just killed all energy to replace the disc with next episode~
Sidelines:
Wonder if you all watched California Dreams? I had such weird feelings after watching this show... Its SOOO DARK... yet so realistic. But the show is pretty enjoyable~ its really weird! _________________

Agreed! Those two sucked royally. I can understand the 'family value story line' and all, but it just wasn't working there..... _________________
