I didn't like Friday's Lovers much either but it had it's moments and I loved the music. |

Its a very depressing jdrama but I find it a very welcome break from the usual anime-like dramas. The downside of Mukashi no Otoko is Norika Fujiwara's bad acting (she can only act in comedies) and the lame ending. Other than that I find it a very interesting drama on adultery.
I recommend it after an overdose of bright and happy dramas.

In the same vein as Nemureru Mori? Then you should try Koori no Sekai aka Ice World starring Yutaka Takenouchi & Nanako Matsuhima, and also Saimin aka Hypnosis starring Goro Inagaki & Asaka Seto. Both are from the same writer. Both are also pretty good series, comparable to Nemureru Mori. |
koori no sekai is good... it is one of my fav drama out there. you'll be guessing throughout the show... I love it!
oh lordgus.. u should try it

Itsumo futari de (extremely annoying characters. The male lead is spineless and the female lead is just annoying).
Good Luck (Although Takuya Kimura is brilliant as usual the female lead looks like she's swallowed a lemon throughout the whole series which I find annoying. Moreover, the plot is kind of boring as well)

Few more to my boring list:
1. Far & Away - I really can't stand Miho acting dumb! I think she is an idiot to be doing all those things in the show... (no offense...)... too much dumbness... reached my limit. I dunno issit Miho or the plot, but its bad...
2. Rookie - I'm not really sure abt this one... Koichi still okay, Rina is a little plump in it. Watched only the first episode then felt like watching other drama after that... Okay okay only. I'll find time to watch it again.
However, I think Good Luck and Yamato Nadeshiko is superb~ Well, each to their own~ _________________ ~^ƌz~

Mukashi no Otoko. For some reason the Hawaiian TV station gives doramas fancy English titles to attract attention. |
You should see the way they subtitle the dramas now after the "downsizing" between JN Productions and Kiku TV.
I can only imagine how much more they're gonna exagerate the drama names from now on....
But back on topic, that drama (IMO) wasn't all that bad. I missed the first 3 episodes on the first run, but caught them on the second. It wasn't GREAT, but it was good enough. And Fujiwara Norika, damn, she was great (looking)! _________________

Ringu is also a show I wouldn't recomend. Again it starts off well, but you really have to force yourself to watch it. In restrospect I probably should've studied during the hours I watched this show.
Like the above poster, two of my favorites are Beautiful Life and Star no Koi, but I disagree about Itsumo Futari de. As far as the lead actor, it seems that a lot of people immidietly brush off actors if they aren't Kimura, Dohmoto, or (insert other male pop star). He's not a great actor, but he fit the role. The show was very good imo, check out the first episode and then decide from there. |
haha....i agree with your opinion on kyoko fukada....every series i've seen her in...it's the exact same pouty character....as for SOS...i thought it was okay..rina uchiyama kept my eyes glued ....i hear keanu reeves had done some "dousei" favors to get where he is now....

UGH! Don't remind me of BRAND! Talk about another vomit-inducing ending! I hated that one thru and thru. I think I only watched it because I was stuck at my grandparents house.

Food Fight? But what about the great scenes after the battles where he would get up and say: "My appetite is as big as the universe!" and then march away dramatically? =\
Yeah... it wasn't good. Though the South American he battled was hilarious. "South American music is full of anger and rage! I use that to help me eat faster!"

I will have to say (out of the recent ones that I have watched) Bewitched isn't worth watching.
Plot is horrible. The attempts at humor weren't successful at all. It waned after the first few episodes with no attempt at varying it. I think the drama is a misuse of talents...
Sabrina the Teenage Witch was way better... Well, that was my 2-cents. _________________ It's a coincidence!
