From what I've read, Jodan ja nai seems to fall into that category... Sweat

Ahhhhhh true say. But I do feel it works both ways. You can have an amazing story/plot, but if the cast really sucks, it's hard to watch.

It's a package really. Good story, good actings, makes for a grand show.

What's really sad is that it sounded so promising! It's too bad that it wasn't executed in a better way. Sad

I haven't come across too much of the dramas where the story/plot was great, but the actors sucked. If it's just a couple of characters, I'm usually able to overlook it.

i know many people will kill me.. but I gotta say vote for Train Man.. I thought it was good from the reviews received but ahem, not to my liking. All the drama showed mostly was this messaging, people commenting on screens.. not much actions, which I wonder this must be a low budget show (less of the outdoor filming, props etc).. get really bored.

well.. gokusen was initially alright but it gets more irritating when the teacher suddenly becomes this wonderwoman, taking off specs and hairband plus with that music and fights off all the bad guys, so as it goes along in almost every episode, it just wears me off though there're many eyecandy in the show..

I guess I just do not like too much repetitive scenes/actions.. some novelty please..

Shocked Shocked
I finished the whole drama and liked it a lot

I recommend that people give up a drama after at least 3 eps. But if you think after 1 ep is enough to keep you from watching the rest then i guess it can't be helped.

Eek! *Elbows folk out of the way to get first in the "Kill-Zappie line"* rofl
I loved all the stuff you hated!

I started Nobuta Wo Produce a while ago...and only watching part of episode one I felt fed up *ducks missiles thrown at head*. I didn't like that Kazuya (?) one bit - he didn't seem much good at acting. And...it seemed quite boring.
But I know loads of Jdorama members love it, so maybe I'll persevere and at least watch episode 1 at some time. Sweat

Galcir.
I did went pass episode one thinking, "it'll get better".
I got the "ok this is ridiculous" feeling more than once especially when fujiki naohito does his cowboy stance. And his accent is really killing me! And how does an arizona guy know japanese? Oh ya, he can live in japan without proper documents, just parachute down from a plane and you're a legit Japanese resident? And how the hell does a tent in arizona have power unit to generate a computer and with online capability! Everything is just out of place in this drama. If you can stand and ignore so many ridiculous stuff, then maybe you can enjoy it. For me, I stop at episode 5. Don't think I can continue watching it.

Yeah, Galcir's a really wacky show. I couldn't finish watching it as well, even with all the girls in it. It's not exactly a bad show to be honest. More of a hit or miss show I feel. People looking for some lighthearted comedy with moral teachings might enjoy it. But for me, the story is just a little too silly.

Just to add on... don't waste your time watching Kirakira Kenshui and Kodoku no Kake. I've given up both shows after the first episode. I might be wrong but I really don't see both shows getting any better in the future episodes.

I actually wanted to watch Kirakira Kenshui because of Konishi Manami, one of my fav actress. It is her first time as a lead for a drama and I kinda wanna see how she'd fare in it. However I think the drama got some bad reviews and decided not to watch it for now. Maybe if I really got too much time at hand, I'll take a peek.

As much as I want to like it, Kirakira is hard to watch... Aside from Manami-chan, there isn't much appeal to this drama and I have to force my self to watch each episode... At the moment, I'm stuck on Episode 6. Sweat

haha i watched it more than a year ago but from what i remember, the first two episodes weren't exactly attractive.. I started watching this drama after my friend highly recommended it to me and didn't see it's attractiveness in the beginning. but wow it's really worth the watch, a really satisfying experience Big Grin I watched the two episodes over two days and the rest of the episodes all at one go because i couldn't stop lol Smile

i see you liked my boss my hero so you shld like this as well Big Grin

yeah, I'm considering to watch it, but as I said that I like Densha otoko and kekkon dekinai because the story is make sense and there are no overacting things and they are otaku that try to do something to be looked more normal.

If i read the review of akihabara@DEEP and look at their picture, 6 six person with that weird costume and full of pride expression on their face...
it looks like they are ready to do something that stupid and silly.

as for tokkyu tanaka go, i found it not interesting at all..but maybe i'm wrong becoz i watched only first ep which the female main char didn't show up that much, but for me.. I better move to other dramas
