The best way to figure out is probably learn to read katakana/kanji. . At the end he shows you his name but in Kanji and Katakana i think. So you can probably try pausing it at the point and cracking it for us. But in the Anime he uses Ryuzaki and Ryuuga or something.
but Ryuzaki and Ryuuga are both fake right? He got the name "Ryuuga" from a famous idol Ryuuga Hideki who became Misa's leading man in one of her movies as seen in the anime... Isn't L the first letter of his real name?

a manga reader once said that L's name was shown in the manga version and ,yes, L is the first letter of his real name... i don't know the correct spelling but it was pronounced as "Low-Light"...

Yep, it's somewhat natural to abuse your power but it doesn't always happen. It's just that Light was given the ultimate power and he abused it. ANd i'm sure not everyone would kill their loved ones for power. Unless you would?...
He's really happy! In the 2nd movie when the *thing* happened, he was all happy and supportive of L. I'm not sure if he acted just so weird before he got the notebook. Must have split personalities?

Alternate ending. They'd burn the books and there'd be a somewhat happy ending? Light would lose him memory, go on death row, and still die. So, I guess it won't really make a difference cause he loses either way.
