I love Death Note. It has such an intriguing story and very unique characters. My favorite character is L, and Kenichi Matsuyama did a fantastic job bringing the character to life on screen. ^^ Sadly, I'm the only fangirl of the live-action films -- well, the series really -- in my family. lol Sorry to fans of Light, but I absolutely hate the character. ^^;; _________________ Matsuyama Kenichi wa SAIKOU desu! 0(^^)0

The movie was bad in my opinion since I'm a avid follower of the manga. There's just some mangas that shouldn't be made into live action, and this one is one of them. Don't worry you not alone in that statement.
I read the manga and watched the anime, and there is no way the movie even gets close to conveying what Death note is truly about. While is not a bad movie at all, is not captivating like the manga or even the anime.

On the plus side, the company made crap loads of money out of it through merchandise for the movie hahaha.

Note: Raito should have been played by someone else in my opinion. While L's character is pretty darn identical, Raito is just sooooo not similar.

Just my 2 cents as well heheh Mr Green
