You might have a point here man. If the situation was reverse and the male character was doing the same thing that Fukado character was doing i might really feel a little bit uncomfortable. But the whole situation was kinda innocent. I personally won't mind a good looking girl like that breaking into my house as long as it not like that horror movie Auditon then i'll be fine.

++++++ SOME SPOILER +++++
After seeing some possitive review of this drama I decided to give it a try, I mean some people give it 10/10 review, some even pick it as their top 5 all time favorite drama!! and guess what.....
After finish watching 'to heart' and I have to say that it is the worst Jdrama I have ever seen!! I really try to give it a chance and watch it to the end, unfortunately it never get any better, just worst and worst....
I totally cannot understand people that give it such a good review, the story was ok, nothing special. The boxing scenes was horrible, no excitement at all. Tsuyoshi did a good job, but his character really is quite boring and basiclly show no emotion though out the drama. And the worst part of this drama is...yes you guess it.... 'Fukuda Kyoko'!!
My GOd!! She really really can not act at all!! I really must appologise to all her fan, she might be better in other drama I don't know, this is the first time I seen her. All I can say is in 'to heart' it so horrible, her crying scenes really like a little kid pretending to cry, I really don't feel any emotion what so ever watching her acting. Not to mention she is so annoying!! She speak like a little kid and her character in this drama is so silly!! Ne ne ne ne ne ne MY GOD!!!!!!
She is totally mad!! No not cute at all I'm sorry. First she didn't even like Yuji then one day she saw him in a park skipping robe....-_-....that it she is so madly in love stalking him everywhere, break in to his house, shooting firework at him and think it's funny, walking on the ledge to prove her love..'I can die for him'..what what what?!! I can't connect to the character this silly I'm sorry.....
All other charecter are so shallow as well, remember her crazy friend? She just like to steal other people boyfriend. Then suddenly she fall off the ledge and she just became the nicess person alive. What?! How?! it just silly.
All I can say is after watching 'long vacation', 'GTO', 'forbidden love' and 'summer snow'. To Heart is just awful and Fukuda Kyoko really cannot act at all, not to mention her role in this drama is horrible and the most annoying thing I have ever witness. Again sorry to all her fan...

Well most boxers, at least the ones who are planning to win a few matches, probably spend most of their time practicing so can't really expect their life to be exciting. Not sure how believable a weeping boxer will be with the audience but I think you hit the mark about the crazy friend who steals other people's boyfriend. Didn't really feel that the arc is done well. Felt it was overblown to make Kyoko's love looks deep. As for Kyoko, she is pretty much typecast into the naive, ditzy little girl in most of her dramas. I gave this drama a 7 since I thought Tsuyoshi did a good job acting out this role. His frame isn't made to play a boxer (or any other athlete) but he manged to put a convincing skip-rope scene.

Review: 6/10
So this was one of THOSE dramas. As an admirer of film production, I found this a TERRIBLE drama. The cinematography was inconsistent with limited variation in framing. The dialogue was mediocre, the storyline was weak, the plot was lame, and the actors/actresses were not at all passionate about their roles. Everything seemed so forced and fake.
However, I found the drama enjoyable to watch. Fukada Kyoko did not disappoint me. She was annoying and transparent, just as I expected. And yet for some reason, she convinced me that she WAS Toko. Something about the way the character was written and the way Fukada acted really clicked. Like Eve said, I really feel like this role was Fukadafs bestc and itfs not surprising to find that the role was written with her in mind. I guess the writers were looking for an easy way out.
Dohmoto, who is usually good, seemed to be in pain the entire time. I hated his character, and he seemed to hate it, too. Other than a few (rare) boxing scenes, he seemed disconnected and uninterested. I wasnft once convinced that his character was in love with Toko.
But I liked the angst. I liked the pathetic obstacles and the misunderstandings. When Toko was hurt by the selfish Yuji, I really felt for her. The drama for me is like one of those trashy romance novels. We all hate them, but when we pick up one to read, we enjoy it through the duration in which it lasts. _________________
