Like i said above, this is my fave medical drama so far (i still have to finish other drama with the same genre). Nevertheless, it never failed me to keep me glued to my seat. There some comments that the ending are predictable, but the twists and the adrenaline is something you will be looking out for. Sakaguchi Kenji proved enough that he could look like a real doctor, same as the a scenes where medical jargons are explained to those who totally have no idea. And check out other casts like Arase and Fujiyoshi --they never fail to impress. At some point, the reality in this drama is balanced by Koike Teppei's role, Ijyuuin. Better check them out.
Iryu season 2 is more of hospital management. But for me, this season prves that geniuses come in weird packages. The first season concentrated on Batista surgery --so you will be expecting alot more in second season. as they say "if you enjoyed Iryu 1, in this season you will too" Alot of fans are screaming for a third season.
recommended to: everyone. Kenji-san is hot, Teppei is cute -its "win-win"
not recommended to: those who doesnt care _________________ ♥♥♥ CURRENT DRAMA LIST: Rookies, Shibatora, Yasuko To Kenji, Koizora, Kamen Rider Den-O... ♥♥♥

"Iryu 3" confirmed for next season
Wed, August 18, 2010 (6:24pm EDT)
A third season of Fuji TV's popular drama series "Iryu" has been confirmed. "Iryu Team Medical Dragon 3" will again star Kenji Sakaguchi as a brilliant surgeon. Izumi Inamori, who only appeared in the first series, and WaT member Teppei Koike have been confirmed as returning cast members, while Kenichi Endo and Mitsuki Tanimura are joining as new characters.
Adapted from the manga of the same name by Akira Nagai and Taro Nogizaka, the first "Iryu" series aired in 2006 and averaged 14.8% ratings, with a peak of 17.2%. The second series in 2007 fared even better, averaging 17.2% and reaching as high as 21.0%.
In the new series, Endo will play a rival doctor to Sakaguchi's character. Tanimura has been cast as a medical intern.
"Iryu 3" will air in the same Thursday 10:00pm time slot, starting in October.
Sadao Abe, Tetsuhiro Ikeda, Kuranosuke Sasaki, Mari Natsuki, and Ittoku Kishibe have also been confirmed as returning cast members.
