Just got done watching the blu-ray version. I prefer this one over the television broadcast, but the blu-ray version is lacking in extras compared to the DVD version. The only extras are just trailers, no deleted scenes or outtakes and there wasn't even an insert, the disc in the case. I will get the DVD version later on. Just one of those times where a better quality video doesn't quite offset a glaring lack of extras compared to the DVD version.

WOW.
I'm really surprised: Considering all that available space on a Blu-Ray (50GB?), you'd think they would've been able to include everything that was on the 3-Disc DVD set... How disappointing.

It's very disappointing. As you mentioned, with the space available I'm surprised that the content from the DVD version isn't included.
So for anyone deciding between the DVD Special Edition or Blu-Ray, I'd suggest the DVD version.

Remember the same thing happened with 'Swing Girls?' The Blu-Ray version did not have most of the extras in the 3-disc DVD version.
