Yeah, I don't like those application invites either.
Except, someone sent me a Domokun, who I love, but I need to download an application to get it. Argh.

I almost never accept those neither.
But Facebook is growing on me - I have only people in my network I know so it's nice to keep in touch.

I haven't been on Facebook in a little while. I haven't had any email notifications that anything's happened, and I just can't bring myself to go there. Sweat

Just as I was about to pull the plug on Facebook (Already did it with Myspace)
I get a message from a girl who we met on another site years ago (who is from Finland - maybe she knows G-mark? Wink ) and lost touch with. She actually visited us and stayed overnight when she came to Australia once. I think i'll keep it a while longer Smile

Ive been checking up on peeps in Facebook.
It is not secure at all if you have an uncommon name,
Ive googled lots of peeps and got their home page directly.
I myself am NOT a member! hehe

I just recently joined Facebook. I particularly like the Wall. It's great for networking. I've found lots of my studio acquaintances posting the projects they are currently involved in or are auditioning for. I need to see if the Japanese acting community is also using this facility. It would be fun to track their careers too. Nut

Of course there is always the language barrier..... Sweat

My boyfriend got me to join facebook just over a year ago (we weren't dating at the time, I guess fb brought us together Bleah lolz well our relationship was long distance to begin with)

Anyway I have been addicted to fb ever since ʁ I always end up just leaving the page on just waiting for messages! LOLZ
I get quite a few messages because my uni friends use it a lot. Also to keep in touch with some of my best friends who I live far from. It's also great for finding people ^0^ I have added people to my lists who I went to school with years ago and lost touch it's great!

As for the privacy you just have to adjust the settings really. Mine is on private so if someone did a name search for me on google they wouldn't actually be able to view the page where all my details are... not that I put many on there anyway.
If a none friend tried to view my page they'd at most see my name picture and possibly who I am friends with.

Hohoho how things have changed. I now like FB. Oops!
But not most of those applications things - I still can't be bothered with them.

I can be ruthless - I only want people on my list who I like and enjoy talking to. I had a request from one of my sister's friends, and I felt bad, but I turned her down. I knew her from years ago, but we weren't pals, and we wouldn't have anything to say to each other, so...(I heard from my sister that the friend was fine about my refusal, though!).

I set my profile so I shouldn't turn up in searches, and I think my friendlist is visible only to my friends.

Yeah I don't bother with the apps to be fair, I use it purely for keeping in touch with peeps. One or two apps I enjoy. I used to like for example top friends and the compare thing. But can't be doing with all these 'knights' 'vampire hunters' 'werewolf killers' 'car racers' etc requests, I ignore them all or if I remember just click on the button to ignore any future requests from that app just in case other people try to invite me lolz!

Me too. I just got a Facebook account the other week and I only have 7 friends. I don't really want to add people just for the hell of adding them. I don't care for my life to be viewed by people I couldn't care less about.
