I have seen it, and I did enjoy it. I like Asadora dramas in general and look forward to the formulaic structure which seems to characterize them, at least the ones I've seen. The focus on large extended families, the themes of trying your best and persevering through rough times, and the examination of two diverse regional cultures within each story are some of the things that I find attractive about Asadora series. The actress who plays Haruka is very energetic and winsome, and the large ensemble cast is solid. Also, any series with Yoshino Kimura is a plus as far as I'm concerned. One personal anecdote re: this series: one of the notable episodes for me and my parents whom I loaned this dorama to was the awaodori segment. Well, I took my parents who were visiting from out of town to the recent Japan Expo in L.A. where we saw live an awaodori dance group from Tokushima perform. The lead dancer reminded them so much of Haruka, they kept referring to her as Haruka whenever they talked about the awaodori performance they saw.

Shin2-san ... She is Murakawa Eri. She is member of the group Boystyle. She also plays best friend of Aragaki Yuri in My Boss, My Hero.

Notice the weathercock on top of the old house in the beginning of each show.

Notice how there is a dove on the fixed portion of the apparatus. There is another dove on the moving portion or vane. It's got a piece of a plant in its beak. When the wind blows, they are apart, but when the wind is right, the doves come together.

Interesting, ne?

Itazura ichiban: nice catch. I bet it's now collecting dust on a shelf in the NHK prop department.

Looks like the house was just a prop too:
