Actually, since you watched the special you should know...
Actually since I did not watch the Special - as I thought I made very clear in the post above - I don't know anything about the ending, or the promise of a second season, contained in said special. _________________
I'm rewatching the drama a second time to pick up on the details...
The two female characters Kyoko-chan (Ichikawa Mikako) and Momo-chan (Kyono Kotomi) are pretty in their own peculiar way and Takano Seiya (Higashiyama Noriyuki) IS Kuitan.
I like drama a whole lot , despite getting very hungry after watching an episode.

This is how actors and actresses get stereotyped.
Kotomi Kyono does a great job as the bellowing Momo in Kuitan. And she did a good job as the reporter in the "Ring" TV series.
But to me she'll always be Tsukuhara, Esumi's sweet, innocent, mousey little foil in Shomuni.
I know I shouldn't do it. I know I shouldn't be wondering what Tsukuhara is doing pretending to be a cop. But I just can't keep the idea from flitting through my mind. _________________
According to DramaWiki, Ichikawa Mikako was in Cutie Honey not Kyono Kotomi...
Ichikawa Mikako
so did i get the right person or not? they're the same person right? the one that goes "igarashiii" and the cop in Cutie Honey. coz she kinda looked different in cutie honey, in a normal way though, just glassess and stuff _________________

Nope.
Check the drama again.
And maybe have your vision checked as well.

The one that always screams "I-ga-ra-shiiii...!" is Momo-chan (Kyono Kotomi).

I finished Kuitan today...*wails inconsolably*
Wonderful series, from start to finish.
My bf happened to see some of the last episode as I was watching(he hasn't been following the series), and he - like me - ended up crying with laughter at one point.
Have I said how much I like this drama?
I'm waiting for the special to come from an ebayer...it's from abroad, so I know I'll have to wait a while, but I'm deeply impatient.
I'm disappointed every morning when it hasn't arived.
I don't thnk there were any bad actors in Kuitan -everyone seemed perfect for their role. Brilliant.
Ah, Monta, Kyono Kotomi and Ichikawa Mikako don't look alike at all!
Can't see how you have confused them.
Geezer,
It probably wouldn't be so strange for me to now see Kyono Kotomi as a nicer character, as she did have her sweet moments in Kuitan (though admittedy they were very rare!)
runpup - er, I'm not desperate to see Kyono Kotomi naked, thanks anyway.

Total agreement... A very well-casted drama.

Thus my suggestion to see an optometrist.

I love it when she wrinkles her nose when she screams out "I-ga-ra-shiii..!!"
