Yeah, I've heard those stories too: people getting mail from WWII... Hopefully they're still alive to receive it. Sweat

Aw, that's really nice of you. Thank you! Muack

Unfortunately it's true - B went to the trouble of making and sending me discs, and they never got here. It's been a long time, but sometimes I still wonder if they might suddenly plop through my letterbox (I've read stories about people getting post years after it was sent!).

At least it'll be a pleasent surprise and make your day... whenever that day arrives. Mr Green

What's Kuitan 2 like? As good as 1?

IMO...no. They used up all the clever plots from the manga in the 1st season and had to come up with basically all original material for the SP and the 2nd season. I initially gave up after 3 episodes, but there were so few interesting dramas last season that I ended up watching the remaining ones (except for the finale at which point I could care less).

No surprise.

Sequels rarely match the quality and/or originality of the original series.

And some are downright awful (to the unitiated: Gokusen 2).

I'm praying to high heaven that the Nodame Special is at least good if not great... Seeing that it's a continuation of the story, it's got a fighting chance... Big Grin Victory! Peace!

yeah it's tough having an entire second season of something and having it be good....usually a special can be cranked out and still be good but having to find enough material for another 10 to 12 episodes is tough...unless it's based on a manga which is often the case these days...but that's still no gurantee for a successful second season.

Even if it's not as good as the original, I'm sure it's better than a lot of the crap they're popping out lately.

I dunno the Kuitan SP kinda sucked.....don't hold your breath, but yeah lots of stuff coming out is pretty uninteresting.

The Kuitan special was REALLY bad, but moreso because it's being compared to the first season. I didn't mind it too much, tho the entire supporting cast was useless, which peeved me a bit.
