Actually, I'm partial to Kyoko-chan and Momo-chan: they're both kawaii in a quirky kinda way... Big Grin

It is now! Victory! Peace! Yesh, he's very much the gentleman. And I love Momo-chan. She's so roughed out. I love when she yells "IGARASHI!"

You like Kyoko-chan despite the dreadful sack-type outfits she wears every episode? Twisted

GASP! I like the way she dresses! Her stockings are the best!

I think I'll be able to finish this series today. I'm offically hooked. Victory! Peace!

I LOVE Higashiyama Noriyuki. >>swoon<<

My Review: 9/10

Ahhhhh another fun drama! Kuitan has everything you could ask for: comedy, romance, adventure, suspense, action (even kung-fu fighting!), etc. and lots and lots of food! There was so much food in this drama it was almost hard to watch! By the end of every episode I was ready to devour a buffet. Each episode is treated individual, with the chemistry between the characters serving as the constant element. That casting was solid. Not only did the actors/actresses work well together, so did the characters! Each character is different and unique, and each is fun to watch. Although there is very little character development, and although there are some minor discrepancies (like how in episode 8 theyfre all ready to sell each other, and then in episode 9 theyfre all weeping over a lost friend, and how Kuitan loses and gains his memory back all within the span of 10 minutes, and without a grain of reality, etc.) because the drama is so fun, it can get away with it. You donft notice the flaws because, well, therefs so much food everywhere! So grand.

I just found out in another thread that there's a special! Does anyone know where I can get it? And also, is there going to be a part 2? Fingers crossed

I would think it would be available via BT, since the subs are available at D-Addicts...

Or I can send you the hardsub.

I didn't notice the stockings...I was blinded by the sacks. Mr Green

So pleased you loved Kuitan - seems most people who watch it adore it.

I have the special from ebay. The little I watched looked fab, but the subtitles were so annoying (poor English) that I switched off.

I found this little film on YouTube - it's a promo for the special (no subs, but it's interesting nontheless)

I just finished watching the Kuitan special, this has to be the best episode.
I loved the referances to Bruce Lee and the vague fight senes from the Otogon and Enter the Dragon.

Anybody have info on season 2 ????

I've found the torrent for the special, which I'm downloading as we speak. But I can't find the subs. Bang Head

Did you search through D-Addicts? The subs for the Special should be in the same thread as the regular drama... If I recall correctly.
