Just finished Tokyo Friends and I loved it. I want more. I see a movie version is coming out. But is this a sequel or just a shortened version of the series?
Of course even if it is just a copy of the series I will have to get hold of it. The gorgeous female eye candy alone makes it worthwile. I'm smitten again.
In love In love In love

Together with Nana this would make one heck of a double bill.

Ai Otsuka has a terrific voice and I already bought her tour DVD. Puppy Dog Eyes

Glad you liked it Ralph. It's probably my favorite drama sofar Smile All the leads put in great performances (and are gorgeous!) I thought it had a few themes in common with Nana. And yes, Ai-chan can really sing!

If you're interested, all 3 of her albums can be downloaded from http://www.getasianmusic.com/~downloads/Japanese/ai_otsuka/

The movie is already available on torrent, but I don't think it's been subbed yet.

Also, I think there's already a Tokyo Friends thread...... i'm sure beem will merge this with it Smile

Looked high and low for a Tokyo Friends thread and could not find one. Figured I'd leave it to BMW to merge if there is one hidden somewhere.

Thanks for the heads up on the albums; already downloading them. And later will add them to my Ipod which I use during weight training.

As for Tours you know I need the best quality which is never available on a rip... so those I have to buy and the first tour I ordered is on the way from YesAsia.... it was only $23 wtih postage. Otsuka Ai JAM PUNCH 2005 -at Tokyo International Forum Hall A on 1st of June 2005 (Overseas Version) is the concert I ordered.

The movie if it becomes available on gigashare or other straight d/l site I will gladly accept.... otherwise I'll buy it when it hits the lower priced markets.... besides I'm still d/l like mad from all those great dramas on gigashare from Loosahead. that alone will take me a couple more months to complete since on lots of them I have to insert the subs....

I think you're right about the thread. Funny, i'm sure I had posted in a Tokyo Friends thread before. Oh well Smile

If you go to www.veoh.com there's a good selection of Ai videos (PV's) and the complete Love Cook tour. If you sign up and install their software, you can download good quality versions of the videos.

I'm still hoping someone will upload the Tokyo Friends movie somewhere in a decent quality: I'm like you, I'm not keen on bit torrent Smile

No, it's because my connection here at work is firewalled, and I can never get the speeds I can on direct download because of that Wink

I'm downloading the movie via BT at the moment. There's still no subs, but I figured it's better to grab it while I can. It's a decent quality DVD rip, from what I can gather. 1.4GB file.
The movie is available for purchase now, but there are no subtitles with that either.

BTW Ralph, the movie is a continuation of the series - the ending.

If the version I'm downloading is OK, I can burn it to DVD and send it to you, if you like.

Tokyo Friends is an excellent series - and Ai-chan acts very well in it!

You can download the entire series (except the movie) from http://www.dramaffa.com/review/JDrama/Tokyo-Friends/28/

As per above, the Tokyo Friends movie (which wraps the series up) is available on torrent, but there's no subs for it yet.

Oh, and the movie torrent I downloaded seems to be of great quality - 16:9 widescreen.

In love

ano..., the "to me" song, i think that's the title, is than in one of ai otsuka's album? i want it so bad
the one that says something like,"Ne, kimi wa dare?" and "Dare mo ga sorezore ni?"

I saw this movie today.
It was pretty good. Ai san not a bad actress and i noticed lots of familiar faces.

Was hoping Eita's role was bigger then it was, but oh well.

Not going to be a sequel right? i wouldn't know they'd do, but it better not be lame.

i thought Eita's role was pretty big! at least it's bigger than Hiraoka Yuuta's. I really like Hiraoka Yuuta. i was hopin he talked more in the dorama.

sequel? dunno. only dorama and movie i think (dorama -> movie)

by the way, you watched the movie one right? I think Anime Dad's lookin for where to get it

nice sig slasherham016
