Oh! I third that Aoi is much hotter than Davey! But yeah, I like both the gazettE and AFI, though I prefer Aoi *goes all starry eyed* Man can you imagine I never even crushed over an actor or band member in all my life like all the other girls my age? Then come along the gazettE and I'm a maniac Sweat

hehehe....well actually, I'm not really -supposed- to be at the age of total fangirlism of someone who's........10+ years older than me. I'm supposedly at the age of liking *Disney* people. U Suck but I rebel and become a total fangirl scaring all my classmates with pictures of "emo people", or "gay people" or "guys who dress up as girls"........And Visual Kei and GazettE really do help. *floats off into fangirlism state*

I think its kinda stupid that people assume that because you're of a certain age you have to be into particular things. I mean, my friends at school tease me occasionally because I dont drool over the actors or singers that they do but its their opinion, i have my own, then again I also have my maturity. Something which, sad to say, most of them there lack. They dont tease me about liking the gazettE or stuff like that(i got some friends as addicted to the gazettE as i am but my best friend who loves them too, gets the stuff from me, kinda second hand, meaning she wouldnt watch it unless i gave it to her to watch)

But yeah, they dont tease me, some are just shocked that i dont like the stuff they like and some are shocked that i understand the stuff that Japanese bands sing about, that i actually understand most of what is going on. But they dont tease me about it thankfully(not that i'd actually care) because in school I'm the sweet girl that practically everyone loves(except those people who are either jealous, or the people i fight because they'd be teasing someone close to me) so yeah, I'm loved and all in school and no one minds my difference in taste but its different with family.

Dad really likes listening to the gazettE, he's like 56 or something and he's listening to the gazettE which is great! He's got like twelve songs of theirs on his iPod. Mom doesnt like them so much, she says im a bit of a freak but on her good days she likes listening to the gazettE's nicer songs if im playing them; Cassis, Silly God Disco, Bath Room, stuff like that. and my little sister is a total fan of Reita.

Problem is that, I live in a place where people are extremely biased about different things. (California) (Or maybe where I live) And even though we have the largest Asian communities in the country, the fashion and modern culture of Asia is greatly denied. Basically the only thing people are interested in is -ANIME-. And that's only a small minority of all the Asians here. We have a joke where in a certain school, all the Asians go American places and all the Caucasians go to Asian places. And all the other people are extremely against the music style of those places. And you know American pop, "love", "sex", and jumbles of everything HAPPY are the main themes. =.=......It's quite annoying.

And even my dad, though being Asian, he won't even let me watch much anime. (though he finally realized it's impossible to make me stop watching it) And he's totally against Japanese music, saying it's weird and stupid. And he's against my culture, saying that "cartoons" and "Asian things" are rotting my brain and making me forget the real world, (which is not true) and how it's making me not "American" .........well you get the point. Btw, I'm Chinese. American. bleh. XP

Well I dont see how stuff like anime or anything Japanese can make your brain rot, in actual fact everything Japanese seems to be a lot smarter than anything American(no offence to Americans, I dont mean it much offensively) but I mean it, look at music and movies; Japanese movies always seem to be so much more interesting(a lot of people have found, I mean) and the music means a lot more than just love, sex and the happy jumpy stuff. Look at it like this, most American music is like this; its either so poppy you feel ill from the jumpiness and the lyrics really dont mean all that much; or else there's stuff like some rap, where things hardly make any sense, or go to fast for anyone to notice anything. Or else its just a load of insults. I'm not saying everything American is like that, far from it, but I'm just saying that Asian stuff tends to have deeper meaning, at least that's how I've found it and considering there are about a million other people like me, it means I cant be totally wrong.

My dad is rather supportive of whatever I do; he bought me the NLSG dvd, listens to the gazettE, doesnt mind(and often even rents me) anime dvds and movies and sometimes watches them with me. I think people need to be more accepting to other peoples loves and needs. Like us, we love the gazettE and anime, it would be nice if we werent treated as outcasts for it.

Yep. And since Asians have a higher learning level than Americans, shouldn't we learn from them? (Great. Now I'm dissing myself....>.>) And maybe we wouldn't get Bush as a president or the Iraq war if we weren't so damn ignorant and money driven. And what annoys me even more is that at my school, people call me a "Japanese Wannabe" *goes off to kill stupid bastards* just from what I find more interesting than adolescent music by Justin Timberlake or any other perverts out there so many girls adore.

HOW do they even like Justin Timberlake?! Like, I used to study psychology, I'm young but I did it nonetheless and I dont think there's enough psychology classes that will help explain why they find that guy so attractive. I dont see it. They're all perverts these days anyway, seriously. There where so many female singers that had their heads and hearts in the right place and then look at what happens, they're off showing almost every piece of flesh on mtv. I'm fine with sexuality, really I am, modelling makes me see things in a bit of a new light. That the body doesnt always have to be hidden, that if things are done right then it shows enough and you still hold your pride and such but they've totally wiped their priorities out of their minds and hearts at the same time! I know why I model, do they know why they model and why they sing? I do it because I help kids in hospitals, showing them that you can get through just about anything and still be comfortable in your own skin. These singers start out with these thigns in mind but things get to them and they completely wipe out all that means a lot to them.

And the war in Iraq and such? I dont follow the news(I'm a very sensitive person, I wouldnt like to see people being killed on tv and hearing how many people have died and how many homes blew up) so in all honesty I dont know how this whole war began, do the people who started it even remember why they started it? Or are they just continuing a meaningless fight for the sake of winning something they dont even know?

I have a strong faith, that The GazettE wont let fame of any kind get to their heads, I knew it from the second I heard(and read) Ruki's speeches in NLSG. I love the meaning of their music and they keep it, they wont change it and thats a wonderful thing. To know why you do things is great.

As for your statement
Quote:

I dont think you're dissing yourself, I think you're really smart for thinking such things. For realizing things like this. I'm pretty sure Americans have done smart things, and when i think about it i'll give them the credit for it but EVERYONE can learn from Asians I think.

For me I am one of those borderline Otaku (shamful to admit). I am 21 and most of the time I am on the computer watching anime or dramas, or chatting online in the anime chat. Yet one thing is that I do not know what a true otaku acts like. Yet from what i see in dramas I am not as extreme as the ones that they show.

Here in Houston (tx), at least at the school I go to, there are alot of people like me so I guess being accepted isnt so hard. I have a friend who is into Jrock and we talk about it all the time. I am older than both of you and yes there was a time where I was into NSYNC and Backstreet boys when I was in middle school (im a 3rd year college student now so it was a LONG time ago). But now I cant stand the sappy shit anymore.

Maybe it also has to do with my personality. I am not too much of a people person though I can fake that easily. I like to be alone and not be bothered most of the time. I feel at ease when listening to hard-core rock music or visual kei stuff. My fav time is when im in my car and screaming the lyrics to Dir en Grey or Gazette. I feel more at ease then.

I have heard that California especialy LA is notorious for being very judge mental and if you dont fit in the its to hell with you. Unfortunately alot of America is like that and I saw fuck that.

In terms of schooling and education most take that forgranted and we dont blame ourselves when something goes wrong. We have an idiot for a president who probably could pass an 8th grade test to save his life. Its sad really. Shake Head Shake Head

Trust me, I'm not saying its any of your faults for what your president does(again, i dont watch the news, I'm trying not to judge something i dont know enough about) but the people could try to be a little more understanding when it comes to peoples taste in music and movies and culture and stuff. Where does it say that because you're a 15 year old American that you need to like a certain kind of movie or music or guys? I'm almost 15, and I live in Malta, a small island that barely mentions Japan in anything, not because they dont care or anything but because its a totally different place with everything different.

Honestly, with some of the people there are around here I'm SOOO glad I'm different to them. I dont blame a person for listening to the music they want to listen to, even when i cant stand that kind of music I dont judge them for it, why should it be any different when it comes to asian stuff?

Well here some people are like you live in America you should listen to American music. And im like isnt America just one big immigrant nation. What the hell is "american" music. I mean it had to originate from somewhere right.

In terms of Bush I just want to slap him upside the head. I mean a high schooler knows what he is doing is stupid and ill-planned. HE is the most dumbest president we have ever had. He is what is causing shame to America

Soon he'll be gone? As in it'll be the end of his run? You dont think he'll be reallected do you?

Wouldnt someone like one of the gazettE members make a better president, at least they've got great intentions.
