kosuke kitajima 's dolphin kick was brought up in the world championship by officials and was said to be illegel. There was a review by some on the tape of the 100m breaststoke just recently by some other swimmers includeing swimmers from other country and he did use a dolphin kick which is a violation in the breaststoke but as in the rules, you can't use the tape for appeal. It can only be brought up by officials who were at the event. At the World Championship some of the official gave kosuke kitajima's dolphin kick some attention but was never appealed by anyother swimmers or judge.

And that is just hating on someone
Hating on J-Pop males is just plain stupid, are mad because they look better than you.
Rony, if you're referencing my posting, I think you may have me misunderstood... I never wrote that I was "hating" Jpop males nor did I say they weren't handsome or untalented or undeserving of legions of fans. My point is that from a strictly objective standpoint, they are rather skinny compared to American men, no matter of what ethnicity: american caucasian, american asian, et cetera. For example, Sorimachi Takashi, who I think is The Bomb, is about my height but weights over 20 pounds less and has a chest-size only equal to that of my exGF.
FYI, I am a nihonjin and and I am not mad or envious of anyone else's looks.

Amen. WTF is it with the women here going ga-ga over all these skinny Jpop men? The nihonjin male actors... I don't think I've seen a single one that had a chest size over 40" (101.6 cm). Dudes couldn't bench press a box of Twinkies.
Wow. I am seriously biting my tongue right about now. I really thought Cuba woulda' kicked the bootay, you know? Needing to answer to Castro once the 'lympics are over. Nah, I understand Cuba's kinda' talented, no?
Looks like Japan's gonna' gold in some seriously major events this 'lympics (where it all started). But, the U.S. has too thus far.
That having been said . . . they lucky the US didn't end up in the tournament!

well...in all fairness - he hasnt changed his technique since the world championships - and this was what? last year or something? he even says that in the 15 yrs of swimming he has never been cautioned or sanctioned for this?
so with all of that + the world championships + the qualifications and then the olympics itself - no one has EVER brought up this issue about the 'dolphin kick' until the american swim team this yr?
even the american coach has said there is nothing to it.
well funny enough Qu Hui of China got DQ in the 100 breatstroke final yesterday for doing exactly the same thing, performing a slight underwater dolphin kick off the turn. Maybe they were cracking down after the accusation. I also watched the underwater camera for the 200 mens breatstroke semi-final today and Kitajima no longer does that slight dolphin kick anymore. I guess he's being careful now.

is happening right now in these Olympics!!!!
Investigation, investigation, investigation.
Kitajima can keep laughing if that's what he's doing . . . IOC takes back medals even AFTER the games have ended, if the charge has enough evidence.

I doubt that they will take his gold medal away. if he had used illegal substances it would have been something different but the americans haven't handed in a protest so my guess is that he'll keep the gold.
