I'm beginning to not like Kitajima's attitude (like I liked it in the first place). Telling the U.S. to be quiet; home of free speech MORE than it is the home of instant replay, buddy.
look on both sides of the equation buddy - he probably thinks its sour grapes - he just won a couple of gold medals and he's got americans on his ear whingeing when no other countries is complaining

Yeah, I hear you, man. But, if TeamUSA wants to argue a medal win by "the other" they'd know more regarding the nuances regarding 'lympic rule than I could ever know.
In any case, if the guy's happy w/his medals, can genuinely be proud of his efforts, well, like Nikka Costa says, "everybody got their something" (I'm being conservative about that statement).
Since I've brought us onto the topic of pop divas; cassius and Aussie crew -- I be lovin' your Kylie Minogue since the 80s (from her Locomotion remake to the more current Can't Get You Out of My Head. Love that La-la-la

La-la-la

I just can't get you out of my head, etc).
Australia doing well, can't wait to see the next baseball game.
And the gold hits just keep on coming -- add Carly Patterson as another U.S. gold win in women's all-around gymnastics.

Man I was too small at that time to remember what the 80's was like. Only the faintest memory of people with really bad fashion of wide shoulder pads jackets and mullets. Scared the crap out of me. LOL

To answer your question, the American never turned in a protest against Kitajima to the officials while Aaron protested directly.
(or at least I think this is the reason)
Yup thats correct, even though Aaron was quite vocal about Kitajima swims they never officially lodge a complaint. I'm guessing they didn't do this because it would cause a lot of other problems as to other swimmers doing similiar thing (but a lot less obvious than Kitajima, his was just too blantant) this also includes USA Amanda Beard and AUS Brooke Hanson that I noticed.
FINA is considering allowing 1 dolphin kick off the wall as its too hard to fault swimmers consistently and fairly.
USA won 3 gold today, nice work and Jodie Henry is the new queen of the pool as she takes the 100 free GOLD! First time an aussie won that event for over 40 years!

Yeah, I saw highlights at about lunch time at my comfy bistro eatery over a pan-seared ahi sand', salad w/asparagus spears, and that island ice tea, and some good co-worker company (OK, I'M A DAMN YUPPIE, SO WHAT ). She seemed quite happy. Good for her, good for Australia.

Has really gone bad for Sweden this Olympics..but our oldie in table tennis, J-O Waldner is still going strong with his 38 years and continues to beat the chinese guys this guy is more then a legend
and our best athlets in the track&field have started promising too ^^
Gold for Stefen Holm, Christian Olsson and Carolina Klüft (I hope)
The Nightmare Team got schooled in basketball again, losing 94-90 to Lithuania... These guys should apply to the Masoner's union with all the bricks they launched. Unbelievable.
On the bright side, Holly McPeak and Elaine Youngs won their match 2-0 against Czechoslovakia in beach volleyball... The pride of Manhattan Beach.
