You don't think that's a reaction toward how -- seemingly, and as being reported -- Japanese women are going ga-ga (not to be confused with the film distribution company ) over Korean men nowadays (which is probably due to Japan's growing interest in the K-drama)?

It's hard, almost impossible to generalize the way a culture would confess their love.
I think when it all comes down to it, it depends on the individual.

I agree. People in Japan are diverse in their personalities just like everyplace. For some it easy easy to confess their love others are very shy. Sounds like everywhere else to me. I think with age and experience your ability to confess your love changes greatly also. Just my 2 cents.
