There are indeed very few Japanese in Sweden. Or maybe they're hiding, who knows. Too bad for me who can't live without Japanese culture either!
Wow, I would like to be a half too. :D
It's interesting how you, who have partially Japanese families, are as much attracted by the Japanese culture (*cough* and girls) as all the others "nerds" around (like me). I wish I knew what it's like.
I've noticed too that it's mostly women... Kinda embarrasing, if you ask me. What will the world think of Swedish men? ^^;
Can't blame them, though.
Man, all these bukatsu animes and dramas... When will they make one about kyuudou? Maybe exchange students starting their own kyuudou club, and going to the nationals? And then getting all the girls, of course. Or would it be impossible to make a drama about that after all? T_T

[SPOILERALERT!!!!!]
too lazy to write a PM so everyone who don't wants to know how it ends, don't read this post!!!! I only writ it very short
School festival is canceled because of a typhoon, pool is unusable. They convince principal to let them do their syncro performance next day. she agrees. Whole school helps fixing the pool (even Bakayo) and next day they perform a great show, everybody is moved to tears. Eikichi-kun moves back to his father without saying good bye to his friends (the father now accepts his son even though he missed the performace because of the typhoon). Shiori runns to the train station and hands over a present from the friends to Eikichi and the train leaves.
As the train is on its way Eikichi sees the whole syncro team run after the train..THE END
this were the most important parts I guess..hope no one who didn't want to know read it ^^

I got all of that..but why did he leave? His friends and girl is there..so why leave? |
well..school is over and he has to do something..and the most important part is that he wants to be with his father and talk about all the stuff he never could while the father disrespected him..

well..didn't really learn it in any way..it's just like I grew up with it, justy like I did with the swedish..sounds kinda weird but that's how it is.
I mean..you didn't really have to learn your home language either, you just happened to learn it while you grew up..same for me but I ust had 3 languages when I grew up first swedish and japanese and when we moved to switzerland there was german too. and now I'm back in sweden ^^
and yes, I like japanese girls but it doesn't really matter is they are european or japanese or whatever, there are always nice girls in all countries I guess so as long as they are good looking, nice and fun I'll take them

I think GTO is the best one I've seen so far, it happened to be on TV while I was in Japan and was just what I needed at the moment! I love those Japanese "we can solve all problems if are honest and just believe in ourselves and find our inner hidden spiritual power" style anime and dramas, can't get enough! Tenisu no ouji-sama (Prince of Tennis) is pretty much like that too, and I liked the first ep of eesu wo nerae...
Do you know any other drama that fits this description? |
gaidal,
I believe gokusen is very similar to GTO..it's like Great Teacher Nakama Yukie.. a female version.. It's more of a yakuza type drama.. I bet you'll like it..
btw..have you guys seen ikebukuro west gate park? I think thats one of the best drama programs i've seen.. i wish they made a sequel on that.. but they couldn't due to the many gangs in japan today..
