HAHAHA yea, and in my other league I got favre as my QB, 4 TDs there! But my friend "Slimevolleyball" has freaking Seattle Def. Damn, can't the 49ers just put some sort of dent into them! ><

Don't tell that to Atlanta! Then again Michael Vick did miss almost all of last season with a broken leg....

Raider's Rich Gannon is out for 6 weeks with fractured vertebrae. I appreciate what he's done for the team, but I'm glad Kerry Collins will be taking the snaps this season. It was weird seeing Tim Brown in a Tampa uniform. That was just.... wrong. We're 2-1 though, so it should be an interesting season..

Yea I read about Gannon this morning. Being a Gannon fan, I'm quite pissed. Why the hec did he go in head first? All he needed to do was slide feet first. So what if they didn't get a TD that drive, it would have saved him a lot of pain and injury time. Man, such a stupid mistake on Gannon's part. But I gotta admit, once Gannon went down, there was no fear whatsoever in me. I was just like, "Oh well...". Good to have a guy like Kerry Collins as a back up. This has got to be one of the best ideas Al Davis has ever come up with. Let's hope the Raiders start to air it out and for Porter to get some TDs!

Hopefully Collins doesn't remain as the INT champion...like when he was with the NY Giants

What I think we can expect with Collins at qb:

More long pass attempts and a higher per-catch average, especially with the quick young receiving core we have.

More long td passes.

Slightly lower completion percentage

Better running game. Colllins' arm and a longer passing attack will keep the D from crowding the first 15 yards or so off the ball. O line will become a more cohesive unit as the season rolls on. Garner would have had a field day if he'd stuck around. It's ok, I've always been a Wheatley fan anyway, and he's got something to prove, just like his first year here. Shame Garner is lost for the year though...

A few more picks than we're used to. Nature of the beast. Collins gambles a bit more, and we'll have good success, but it will occasionally bite us in the ass. But damn, he can throw a tight, accurate ball with some zip!!!

Just my thoughts anyway.

Yup, I want to see some more long passes go to Porter rather than Curry or Gabriel. Of course, that's mainly because Porter is on my fantasy team and he has yet to score a TD for me out of all my receivers. Well Johnny Morton has done jack for me too but what can you expect from the Chiefs passing game hehe hehe

As long as the Raiders keep winning then I'm happy. Anyone else like that Raider defense? Damn they're scary this year w00t!

For as long as I have been watching football, I've never seen a team go 0-16. I think San Francisco might be able to do it. I'd like to see it happen at least once, even though I like San Francisco.

Naw they can't be that bad. Well they're going to win at least 2 games this year. Here they are...

11 Sun Nov 21 at Tampa Bay
12 Sun Nov 28 Miami

If they don't beat them, then that's going to be sad. I saw Miami play the previous Sunday and omg, that offensive line must be the WORST in the league! Poor Lamar Gordon got the ball and the very next nanosecond he was killed by 3 defenders!

The Tampa Bay Bucs lost all of their games in their first year.

In their second year they were 0-12 before winning their first (and only) game that season.

The Saints lost their first 14 games in 1980... leading their fans to start wearing bags over their heads while at games. They referred to the team as "The Aints".

The Niner went 2 and 14 the year before Bill Walsh arrived as the HC.

Then they went 2 and 14 in his first season as H.C.

Long losing streaks, and goose-egg seasons aren't unheard of in the NFL.

And they're not much fun to watch either.

The Niners this year? Odds are, they'll catch somebody on a bad day one of these weeks.

The Niner o-line should probably have the which are the jocks, and which are the shoulder pads questions figured out by mid season. And when they start to get it together they'll probably end up with about 4 wins this year.

well geez, as long as you have the cardinals in your conferance, you can at least know that you won't be finishing last.

Very true. A technique my friend uses for fantasy football defense is to pick the team that is playing against the Cardinals since they can't score hehe hehe

Normally I hate the idea of renaming stadiums for corporations that pay out the nose for the advertising... But if the Park at Candlestick Point was gonna be renamed, I can live with MONSTER PARK

A company named, "Monster Cable" has ponied up 6 mil (half goes to the city, and half goes to the team) to get their name plastered all over the stadium.

Monster Cable Products, founded in 1979 by a San Francisco native (and Chinese American) named Noel Lee.

According to the Chron, Lee got an engenieering degree from college and then went off to play drums for a band called "Asian Woods".

When the band tanked, and he went home broke, he spent his time at his folks garage in the Richmond tinkering with stereo cables. He came up with some inovations that he patented. Started the company .

The company became wildly successful. And they moved from the little garage workshop in the Richmond, to a 400,000 sq ft headquarters in Brisbane... 3 miles from Candlestick.

Cool story.

Great name for a football stadium.

So now you're a stat fan, instead of a football fan.

Hey, whatever keeps you off the streets.

Where the heck is the delete key?

I put up a snarky post about the cokeboyz and their fans, and now I want to delete it before I get yelled at for starting a flame war... but I can't find the delete key.

Well, this will have to do.
