I think it was like 250 hits at the 154-game mark.

I think Bonds hit over 60 before the 154-game mark, but not the other two... Ruth hit 60 in 154 games, and Maris hit 61 in 162 games, number 61 on the final day. That's when the asterisk first showed up... Maris always had that monkey on his back, poor guy.
PCM, you should check out Ken Burns' Baseball... It's a GREAT series.

Yep, I've seen that. I've also been to Cooperstown (2002) and Canton (1993).

Cool.
I guess they're gonna have to make room for Ichiro's name in Cooperstown.

Knowing he is in a playoff race and he has the nerve to pull an act like that with the incident with Texas and Oakland happening not too long ago. On top of that, wasn't that a home game? |
Does the year include the playoffs??
The guy needs to attend anger mangement seminars.

Hopefully they'll increase his meds and he'll calm down.

Just one of many inconsistent pitchers...

I can't believe those stupid Angels are in first place... What happened Oakland????
Late news: Giants lose in the 10th, 4-3, to the Padres.
Magic Number is now 2..... |
Aww man this loss hurt a lot. Not only was it on 2 stupid errors but Mohr is probably done for the year and any playoffs as well. I do want to give credit to the Padres players for not going into the locker room with Mohr down in agony. They showed a lot of class out there and I always rag on these guys and I'll say it once and only once, the Padres deserve to be in the running for October. Anyways, tomorrow is a MUST win!

At this point, every game is a must win...
All the Dodgers have to do is win two of their final four games regardless of what SF does... They're in control of their destiny, as they say.
DON'T SCREW UP YOU BUMS!!!!!!!

Me too! Were you and I the only two Socal residents who didn't like it when the Angels won the series a few years back?
