OWNED!!!!!!! Nice pic groink! Yep, it always helps to match the date, so IMO a black tux is never bad.
I didn't go to my prom, but I saw pics of some people there. It was a ghetto fest. AWFUL. Too many people tried looking unique but just ended up looking cheesy, loud, ghetto, or just awful....some of those people's attire(s) were a combo of several of those descriptions.
One guy had on just black slacks, an orange silk shirt (I guess he thought he still looked formal enough) and....get ready for it....ORANGE ALLIGATOR SHOES. $400 ONES. And yeah, it was AWFUL. He was the laughing stock of the school, yet he still thought he was the $h!t. I don't remember if he matched his date's dress, but I doubt he did. Matching your date's dress is nice, IMO.
Hahaha that was just the tip of the iceberg. I had no interest in going to the prom, and I still don't regret it. Not only was it a ghetto fest full of everyone huddling in corners to talk crap on what everyone ELSE was wearing, it got even MORE ghetto when one of my classmates left for a while and got completely lit (of course he was 21, super-super-super senior, bwahahaha!!). He was amazingly let back in bombed and "caught" his girlfriend dancing with a guy (b/c he'd LEFT HER THERE ALONE), so he choked her and beat the crap out of her in front of everyone. My school was big on TV production so every school event was videotaped. No tapes were released of that prom, obviously....and he was arrested there and we didn't see him the rest of the school year. I had to be filled in on Monday when his girlfriend came to school with bruises and handmarks on her neck and didn't see that guy in El-Func class
Oh man was my high school ghetto. So yeah, I'm glad I missed that
