I'm making Primavera tonight. Angel hair noodles.

And Caesar's salad.

Star Market (sorry for the esotericism) has this really great bread loaf that is mighty tasty w/bread.

I have chocolate cake from that bakery in Kaimuki, from Sunday? Anybody know the name?

This will end up as a LONG thread methinks.

As a carryover from the other thread, we were talking about King's Hawaiian... Any comments from The Man?

Hawaiian sweet bread is ono (that's "delicious" in the Hawaiian language. Heh, maybe I AM Hawaiian after all, BMWRacer Applaud )

Folks, if you ever get a chance, try malassadas -- Portuguese (which I am, 1/2, at least) deep fried round non-holed donuts, covered in sugar. Mmmmmm. Yikes, this is something we didn't try, eltinator; next time when you and ya'll's boys come down here, we can go Leonard's Bakery or something. Lately, folks have been squirting in chocolate pudding or haupia (coconut) or vanilla filling into those donuts Grumble , uh, sorry, not my thing. Maybe ya'll'd like it, but, I'm really into classic stuff.

Anyway . . . am I even slightly on this topic? Bang Head Someboty puh-lease tell me if I am.

EDIT, 1:10pm, HI time update -- oh, I see, this discussion began on "got something to say" thread. Yeah, wow, BMWRacer, you spelled Lilikoi correctly, actually, bravo Applaud .

So . . . also, what, you guys have questions on kalua pig? Poi? Lomi lomi salmon? Why white rice is so prevalent here?

Mmmm, no, but they have great cream-filled pastries (heh, I said "cream-filled" Naughty ). Kimura-ya's mostly in Kahala Mall, no?

Hmmm, shucks. I KNEW the name by heart so badly before! Hmmm . . . I know it has the word "du" in it; it's by Collector Maniacs, and I usually get a sweet something (talking pastries/cakes/pies, whatever; I think Kaimuki's long gone from the days of THAT kinda "sweet something" on its streets, OH!!! RIMSHOT!) whence I'm picking up my comic books from there (GASP, THE MAN, YOU READ COMIC BOOKS. Yeah, I do, LIKE YOU CARE, BWHHAHHAHA Nut ).

There's a Kimura-ya in Kaimuki too. It's across from the library.

I think I know which one you're talking about. Is that the French pastry one? Can't remember the name of it either at the moment! Sweat
