I had only watched anime and then my favorite distro offered Refrain. Despite Shuji not marrying the magical Eiri in the first episode, I was hooked. hmm... the first drama which hooks me on is Long Vacation, Love Generation, Love Revolution..... the storyline are so nice with the scenery... credits also goes to the theme songs for the dramas... i simply love them.... moreover the charactors in them are very nice.... guess this is where it hooks me on.... tata...(",)

my 1st drama was With Love....dunno what made me bought the vcd but i haven't look backed since....cos i completely fell in love with jap drama....

My first drama is Meguri Ai. But the one that really hook me on was Kamisame Mou Sukoshi and Itazura na Kiss. Ah GTO is a classic too like tat show.

First Drama that made me realize Japanese dramas werepretty good was Aishiteiru To Ittekure. First drama to get me hooked and addicted was Long Vacation... Yay Tomoko Yamaguchi!!!!!!!! Lucky Toshiaki Karasawa!

long vacation..i find kimura soo hot that i started searching for his profile!!! then i bought some of his dramas!!! sos and summer snow also got me into watching more japanese dramas!!!

the first drama taiho shichauzo because i have watched the anime version ever since, the only thing i watch are jdorama although now i'm watching my love pattzy which is a korean one

The first Japanese series I watch was Beach Boys or was it With Love(I watch in HK), can't rem............ but it was that time-ish when I got addicted Japanese series

I'm a new recruit to the dorama army! I saw Beautiful Life lent to me by a friend last month and have been sleepless since. Watching like crazy Takuya Kimura doramas that I can get my hands on. And it is not easy!

My first drama was With Love. I tried to grow my hair long after watching it to look like the actor lol. I struggled so hard with the chinese subtitles, watching a Japenese show by reading a chinese dictionary has to be one of the weirdest things to do, but afterward I still found that I enjoyed the experience. I'm so glad that there are English subs now days.

my first dorama i saw was My Little Chef, only 2 see how good Aya's acting was.....it was pretty good and i liked it, da food looked tasty Noticed (hard not 2) that most of u guys said u liked SUmmer Snow, Gto, With Love, Beautiful Life, and Long Vaction. Imma gunna get GTO and Aya's Ace wo Nerae drama when it comes out. Im having high hopes for the GTO live Action because da Manga is good (not finished yet here in california, still like 2-3 books left), da anime....not so great, there ending was crap!! But ya, imma not gunna watch da live action till imma dun wit da manga. Jus a question tho.....does Onziuka mess up Uchiyamada's Cresta in da live action or jump off buildings????

I have to say my first jap drama was Oshin and as a matter of fact, i am looking for the drama if someone has it with english translation or sub titles(prefer sub titles). And actually there is an anime on "the story of oshin" and i would like to get that as well with english sub titles or translation if someone has it. please contact me [email protected] thanks

To Heart was my first (watched it all without subtitles, and my japanese is about is good as my tagalog which to say isn't very good) and GTO kept me interested =)

for me, it was 'koi ga shitai' (or where is love?) great storyline, great cliffhangers, good acting, kept you guessing and thinking the whole time. i watched this drama twice, and it was even better the second time.
