													  Calling all sukebei!!!
Who do you think is the hottest "mom" character you've seen in a dorama?
Off the top of my head, I can nominate: [UPDATED 2004-10-25]
Mizuno Miki , Koibumi (nominated by Geezer)
Iijima Naoko , Otousan Iijima Naoko , Wedding Planner (nominated by Geezer)
Ishida Yuriko , Oyaji Kuroki Hitomi , Oyaji Nagasaku Hiromi , Aoi Tori (nominated by gfhandel)
Sakai Noriko , Heavens Coins 2 (nominated by Ahochaude)
Yonekura Ryoko , Okusama Wa Majo (nominated by BMWracer)
Yonekura Ryoko , Unmarried Family (nominated by Geezer)

Actresses that prove motherhood and being a bombshell are not mutually exclusive.
True beauty is timeless,

This is a DAMN good question.

Tell you something. Now, she's been in other stuff, but, since we talkin' 'bout J-drama TV mamas, lemme state that I was just really lusting over -- yes, I'll partly agree with you, pcmodem -- Hitomi Kuroki (she played the Kyoko Kurosawa) in Majo no Joken (AKA "Forbidden Love").

Let's just say that if I was Hikaru (and, lemme state for the record that, I have no desire to be a Hideaki Takizawa by any stretch of the imagination; but, since he DID play Kyoko/Hitomo's son, Hikaru), the controversy in that show woulda' been something OTHER than a younger man, student/teacher, older woman relationship if ya' know what I mean (set design woulda' saved on costs too, we'd never leave that house . . . and wardrobe woulda' had to not spend anything, too, for that matter).

Whooo, my face it all hot already. | |

Hmmm. And PC comes up with another good question.

How about:

Mizuno Miki in "Koibumi" (Love Letters)

Iijima Naoko in "Otousan" and "Wedding Planner"

Yonekura Ryoko in "Unmarried Family" _________________ Manga is to Literature

Mizuno's role as the wife and mother in Koibumi really impressed me.

I mean, she was pretty in Koiga shitai but she didn't make that much of an impression. And I haven't watched "Odoru daisousassen" yet.

But after seeing her in Koibumi, I went out and got a copy of "Odoru..."
 |

She looks really food in Tobosha too!
I was QCing that the other night ^_^ Very good drama btw | |
