I also enjoyed Sakura. It was not the best drama I have ever seen by a long shot but I found it to be fun and entertaining. |
I think I liked her because she's so energetic and upbeat most of the time.

Its cool to hear that so many others liked Sakura! I was actually in Japan last week visiting Tokyo,Takayama,Kyoto and Osaka. I was inspired to go to Takayama because I liked the series so much. In Shirwakawago(Sakura's grandfather's village) they have a poster of promotional poster of Sakura.

I don't know where that is in Japan. I'll have to look it up. Is that somewhere between Tokyo and Kyoto?

Its 4 hours from Tokyo to the west...its called Little Kyoto cause it kept the culture of old Japan. Since its in the mountains it gets pretty cold as you probably remember from the series.

Hey guys?
What's chances of setting up a thread that deals specifically with recording, burning, tweaking, and technical options?
The idea behind this thread was to talk about matters related to KTSF in San Francisco because KTSF has such a crap home page and we never now what's coming up, or if there's a schedule change.
Not for nothing guys, but --- get your own thread! They're free. _________________ Manga is to Literature

This isn't Sakura...It's "Let's Fall in Love" which some people on this board were asking about before. It shows you how often they update their website (this show ended in June)!!

No I mean I found something on the new 9:00 drama "Let's fall in love" from this Asahi web site. I miss Sakura being in that time slot. I liked the storyline between Katsuragi-sensei and Sakura. I wish they would write a Sakura 2. I did hear about a stage play that was made with the same actors though...

Well only bright spot is that it's a relatively new drama
I didn't know Rina Chinen still acted in dramas

Just a reminder about tonight's (Sunday, 11/21) non subtitled shows on KTSF.
They'll be showing "The Inner Palace" (Ooku) at 9, and then "Last Christmas" comes on around 10pm.
For those who avoid non subbed shows... you might just want to take a glance at this one. I saw it when I still got the International Channel (stupid cable dumped the channel from my package 2 months ago) and it's beautiful.
I believe this is the "Ooku" TV movie special. The one that followed the 11 part Fuji series.' _________________ Manga is to Literature

It was probably number 2. The third series was shown in Japan not that long ago.

Elton,
Yeah, I liked the beginning of "Last Christmas". Then again, I'd just finished watching "Rhythm and Police" which I thought was fantastic, so I went into the show as a newly minted fan of Yuji Oda's. And Nana Katase's in the show... so there's no way to lose.
KTSF drives me nuts. Tonight's was actually the second half of the first episode, so they started it at 22 minutes after ten, and crammed in commercial breaks about every 4 minutes. (This watching shows on DVDs has me spoiled.)

I think dochira's right. Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho 2 was on before "My Little Chef". This is #3 coming up. And according to the database, #4 has already played in Japan.
The drag is, KTSF or Fuji seem to have decided that their target demographic for Saturday nights is Junior High School kids.
Sadly, I am no longer a junior High School kid. _________________ Manga is to Literature
