um... I'm not sure how people question and answer such ideas relating to billions of people.

some Chinese girls don't like Chinese guys...

and some Japanese boys like foreign girls.

We are all products of our environments in some form or another. Go one place and you may witness a total different attraction from a person of the same ethnic persuasion than you might if you travelled somewhere else.

it isn't a black or white issue.

Well, there are some large differences among Chinese...

Certainly Taiwanese are more comfortable around Taiwanese.... HK's are more comfortable around HK folks... ABC's more comfortable around ABC's.

Dear all,

I am writting a book which has a plot in it that deals with an international relationship between a japanese and a non-japanese based in Japan. I was wondering (Since we all share a love for things japanese) if anyone has some first hand or second hand interesting experineces, ie how you first met, difficulties (ie cultural diffrences), how did people treat you (whether in Japan or elsewhere) and how did you interact with his/her family. Additionally if any of you have travelled to Japan how was your experince? I would like a more realistic take on things from real people. and not just doroma's...books
(Though I think that Doku was a good dorama on this, and the Mirai Niki (future diaries) with the Japanese and Taiwanese relations was also good...)

I think it's a wrong section but one thing I'll say. My parents have a international relationship and got married.....it seems after still many years.....my dad's side dosen't seem to like Asian people and dosen't like me or either my mom but my mom's side is alright!I should say it's a clutural barrier....
