Arnie Morton's.

My ex-officemate swears that Chicago is the place for pizza and ribs... Yet he never brought any samples to work for us to judge.

What a maroon.

If Pizzeria Uno's pizza is a true example of Chicago pizza, then I wouldn't argue Big Grin

I went to the annual western United States invitational rib cookoff in Reno during Labor Day weekend, up in Reno. It was amazing.

The best ribs I had were from this outfit in New Jersey, Butch's Smack Your Lips BBQ:
http://smackyourlipsbbq.com/

Until then, my favorite were from a local joint, Back 40 West Texas BBQ, but Butch's ribs were clearly superior.

In terms of bang for buck pricing, the St. Louis style ribs at Armadillo Willy's here in the Bay Area are a good deal. Many's the time I've hit Armadillo Willy's after a muddy day of mountain biking and seriously chowed on good ribs.

Bon appetit,
PCM

Wow that sounds great. I went to a Chili cook off in Reno a couple of years ago and that was really yummy too.

Another maybe funny maybe not funny Reno story from about 7 or 8 years ago. I was hung over and not aware they had a festival going on. I am sort of walking/stumbling down the street when I see a giant dancing Garlic (Really someone dressed in a Garlic suit). I almost fell over. I had to ask my friends if anyone else saw it or was I that messed up. I must have stared at it for 2 minutes...
